Exactly, and if Belle Vue and Berwick can do it why not the rest, is it being rolled out alphabetically?

When reading ideas like this plus those on other threads they seem no brainers to us so Im assuming the promoters know about these initiatives. Whilst Id find it bad if they didnt think about these ideas what I cannot get my head around is that they have taken a year on year decision to disregard these ideas. I would love to sit down with promoters so they could talk me through the thought process because I just dont get it. Its as if they are trying to drive us away but that cannot be true either.

MPT is 5.57. Does anybody know if the brits still get a reduction in their first two years? I think Dan got 2.5% knocked off last season.

They did last year. Heritage Club also allowed your guest in at concession rate. http://www.manchester.gov.uk/download/meetings/id/23094/12_belle_vue_aces

If its going to be 41 Id try for, 1.Craig 2.Dan 3.Max 4.Rohan 5.Matej 6.BWD 7.Jack

Alan was head of the Heritage Club and was a regular last season, unfortunately ill health has hampered his visits this year. Id love to see him back again. He sent his regards to all at the dinner dance.

I think it depends if your in the right gang. Its happened before where rules were changed on the eve of a season to stop a team having their signed 1-7. Rider averages are also quite changeable dependant on who wants to sign them.

My first job in sales many decades ok was with a manufacturing company who went about their business as a sales company. Ive subsequently worked for or with manufacturing companies how conduct business as a manufacturer and whilst they have a marketing and sales operation the general feeling is if we make it people will use it and more often than not they never realise the companies true potential. Rob Godfrey recently said in The Star that he would be happy with 500 punters. 500! If you think your product is a 500 customer product your bolloxed. Sell it to get more in. We need to recapture market share and IMO we have the product to do it. We need to iron out these basic niggles that we fans are constantly bringing up. Youve got free market research here, use it. If promotions havent worked in the past, why not and how can it be improved. Why are some clubs more successful than others and why cant it be replicated across the board. There just seems this malaise that its a bit rubbish isnt it. People running successful businesses seem to leave their business brains at home once they take charge of a club. Did people just wander in of the street to buy off these companies or was the brand sold and marketed? Treat your customers right and they will do some of the selling for you. Grab their data and use it for marketing. Set targets. Be a business. Never let a customer walk away. It would help your mindset if you started to refer to us as customers instead of fans. Selling has been done with other forms of leisure activities including other sports so why not our, and I mean why not ours? There must be quantifiable reasons that can serve as a spring board for moving forward. A problem is just an opportunity if handled correctly. Ive had all the excuses in the book as to why sales are down or why an area is failing and a large percentage are just that, excuses. Come up with a work around and get things moving, dont use it as a reason to do nothing. If clubs really think they cannot get another 1000 spectators through the gate to top up what we have and thus make JC stats add up then we are in a poor state. Nowadays £225k to £250k a year new business sales target is low for a jobbing salesman in any given area. Its got to be achievable, it must be. We dont need to dumb down.....again.

I thought the Heritage Club scheme that ran last year as set up by Dave & Chris was good. Every ex Ace could get in free and if they wanted to they could bring a guest who only paid concessions rate. It was a step up from the WSRA deal for "away" riders and designed to get ex Aces involved in the new era. PC wouldn't except it as it didn't allow for non ex riders to get in free. Whilst PC has been out of order, my main problem is that people are using this to have yet another go at Belle Vue as many other tracks who didn't have a scheme as good as the heritage club or no scheme at all get off scott free yet Belle Vue are the big bad despite going the extra mile for former riders.

Spot on. Report should not have been written. PC needs to be left alone at this time and remembered for his good times. Stirring things up are no good for him. Thoughts are with him. Ken and his lad pay to get in.

Makes you wonder why there has been pages and pages about wrong average, x1.2, x1.4, no increase, assessed etc, etc. Fact is with a lack of clarity especially on a none complicated subject as this you have to think why it is done this way and who can and cant benefit? -
Relegation And Promotion Play Offs

I agree about the loophole. The sooner theres an all inclusive list of available rides and what average they come in on the better. It wouldnt then be down to who gets tipped the wink or more importantly those that get quietly ushered away from such advantageous loopholes. Loopholes, why have them anyway in a sporting contest? -
Relegation And Promotion Play Offs

I've said for years now that with the play offs in place the best way to win them is by losing early doors thus reducing the team average then strengthen back up before reverting to true form and riding off into the sunset. If you can take advantage of any loop holes left by the thicko's at the BSPA then all the better. -
Wolves -v Belle Vue 10th/11th October Ko Cup Final
ouch replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If the ref hadn't got it wrong two years ago and if the BSPA sorted the ringer problem a year earlier we would have been celebrating a glorious treble again. Officialdom is The Aces biggest threat, always has been. -
I think if you take an alternative medicine as prescribed by a doctor for a long term illness that has unanticipated side effects making you feel too ill to ride you stop taking them and hope after two days of abstainance the unanticipated side effects making you too ill to ride have passed by then allowing you to ride.

All ifs buts & maybes. I'd agree with the bulk of the Wolves fans who prior to the play off semi, when we were both at full strength said The Aces would win over two legs. They know their riders better than most. Whoever won yesterday it was a bloody good meeting and if you get the opportunity of seeing clean cut sports dvd, grab it -

Irrespective of the riders involved and the guest situation it was an exceptional meeting with some truly memorable heats. Speedway at its best. -

Workingtons Craig Cook says he's not riding. Workington say it's ok. Belle Vue get penalised. It's like if my next door neighbours say it's ok for their dog to take a dump outside my house and when I come out to complain the council official slaps me with a fine for dog fouling! -

The fact they finally decide to tackle the issue when it effects Belle Vue is purely coincidental. -

Cook hasn't been banned. If he had failed to provide a sick note then he would have been suspended from Workingtons next home meeting of which there isn't one this season. The BSPA can allow a rider to race within seven days following a none speedway illness but they can also prevent them. This preventative measure has as far as I know never been implemented until now. Craig Cook is the captain of The Belle Vue Aces who have the home leg of the cup final tomorrow. -

I've a lot of time for Sam and he has a lot of time with what we are trying to achieve at the NSS. I think all tracks should prepare the best race track for all riders to strut their stuff. It can bite you on the backside every now and then but the overall product makes these set back easier to take. Tracks now are set up for the home lads off the start with a few tricks thrown in here and there. It almost guarantees a half decent team a win and often a good win but the racing on offer wouldn't prompt an upturn in attendance. In fact the opposite happens if they start losing as there is little else to keep the punters entertained and once lost they don't return. Though it makes things hard for us I'm glad Sam and others enjoy coming here I just wish we could get the rest on board and push the sport forward again. -
Eastbourne Eagles V Belle Vue Colts 14/10/2017
ouch replied to sussex bulldog's topic in National League Speedway
The Colts lost by 16 points last time. We had replacements for Dan, Jack, Rob & Lee and we got 26 points from those rides. I'm hoping for more this time with three of our own back but then again they have little experience of the Eastbourne circuit so it's hard to say if they will or not.
