I must have missed the memo. What is it for?

I’m pleased that people think we’re finally going to show consistent home form as for the last two years we’ve had the poorest of form out of the top three teams but conversely we’ve been decent away. Ken and Jack combined averaged 8.50 away last year and whilst I don’t think Jay and Damien will match that I hoping four from them plus some improvement from the rest will see us sneak a few bonus points. Must admit though I’d be happy to go with the pundits and see us restrict those home losses.
-
Suprised at The Aces placing, I thought they’d be around 5th or 6th. A lot to do like you say.
-
The powers that be have been very efficient with the one over 8 and GP rider rule, so it shows they can do it, though their motives seem highly suspicious. Saying it’s within the rules doesn’t cut it in our “sport” anymore due to their fluid nature. If/when Poole are allowed a 20 point head start I would still see fans saying it’s ok due to the rules. Its ironic that after years of rule breaking and dodgy deals, Ford is now feeling the pinch. You reap what you sow eh? Shame he’s taking everyone down with him but they can’t say they weren’t warned. I think the Colts will win their home meetings and the heatleaders will see us sneak bonus points away. Add in an away win and that should put us in the play offs and over two legs I think we will stand up well against most teams. 36 points got you into the play offs last season. We’ve lost a team so maybe a bit less will do this time. I think it’s doable but I’m not that bothered if we miss out as long as the lads progress and get something out of the experience. NL racing is excellent and should be better supported. You don’t get the wobblers like in years gone by and most lads seem very professional in their set up.

It’s no coincidence that CVS & Ford said they have riders effected by the 8 point GP reassessment. They didn’t, but it wraps around the Zagar increase nicely. There was only ever one rider effected by the 8 point rule and he now knows better when to tweet about a uk return.

Wrong order and wrong year.
-
Weird how Woffy has turned his back on a full UK season all these years only to say he would have come back this year but for the rules. Laughable.
-
No chance. He will be a heat leader by the end of the season. No way would the powers that be ban an Aces heat leader from an end of season cup final.

2015 Gogglegate 2016 Woffygate 2017 Freddiegate 2018 ?????gate Belle Vue will not win the play offs, officialdom will see to that.
-
Looks like we’ve had a 50% reduction on answering questions. Where will it all end?
-
Where and in place of whom?
-
No interest in a UK return.
-
Yes it was. If they hadn’t have fannied about with the averages last year Craig would have been No1 as he finished 2016 with a higher EL average than Max.
-
Holder will be fine. Most Poole riders suffer a loss of form during their year away and then click right back in on their return.
-
If you think those riders on those averages were available to every team you are incredibly naive. Rules chop and change to suit certain teams. Fans want to see a sporting contest and are leaving the sport due to the corrupt nature of modern speedway, the media likewise. We’ve had boring races, drawn out meetings etc etc for years but fans kept coming, but this is just too much for most fans.
-
You got us there. Over 20 years we’re even on league riders winners (3 each). During what will be considered a golden age for the wolves you won three cups (all league) where as during our barren years over the same period we have only won three cups (1 pairs, 2 KO Cups) I’m still gutted that we lost the tai in 2016.
-
Why not do the usual and have a home and away challenge against Wolves. Call it the Elite Shield.
-
Kyle finished on 6.67. Still very impressive.
-
There is no logic. Richie was told 6.55 when we pointed out their mistake. The fact it’s not been made public baffles me along with all the other discrepancies this close season, the worst I can remember. Their mistake has probably cost Richie a top league team place. The sport is utterly bent with little sign of change.
-
Apart from his time at Belle Vue where he averaged over 7. Oops!
-
Richie is 6.55.

Fiddling while Rome burns........again.

Belle Vue had a very potent spearhead lined up in Bjerre and Cook but the rules were re written to block it. We turned to Zagar on his low average but again the rules were re written. Are you getting it yet? You have Holder coming back on a low average achieved with another club, all within the rules. A few years back we had the same thing with Jason Lyons, ironically he achieved his low average at Poole. Guess what, we couldn’t use him on that average as the rules were re written only to be re written again when it suited another club.
