  1. Fair play to Belle Vue not mentioning Adams in all this and just saying there was some “confusion”. Well done.
  2. Great meeting as always with Wolves and plenty for both sets of fans to be pleased with as the match score had plenty of interest up until heat 12. Lots of good races with many being 2 in 1 on a track somehow devoid of dust until heat 15. There was some shenanigans with Adams’ nominations and this led to a 20 minute delay so it took the running time past the usual sub 2hr mark. It was an excuse to sit in the lovely sunshine any way. Nice to be traveling to Monmore for what now is a friendly. At the risk of upsetting folk I still hope any fallers don’t get injured, it’s the way I am and I’m not going to change.
  3. It’s discretionary, basically Peter Adams asked CVS and he said it was ok. It’s not always given as I know of one rider who - should he have not ridden straight away - R/R was denied.
  4. I can only speak about the Colts fixture that was referred to in the original post, that only had one R/R for the injured Paul Bowen. He was there with his kevlars on, so maybe he was hoping to give it a go despite false optimism. Anyway due to there being lads left without a team place this year we are bringing in Kean Dicken for our next match.
  5. There will be crashes and I’m not afraid to say that I hope they are not serious, whether you think it’s boring or not.
  6. Not sure I agree. Line ups in meetings like this have been a bit off the last few years. Going off your comment then what does it say about the lads in wheelchairs who are supported by the Ben fund? Like I say, I don’t agree with this thinking but you’re entitled to your opinion on a public forum.
  7. Agreed. He’s hardy done any testimonials in the last ten years, if any. I wouldn’t expect any of the riders who have turned their backs on the UK to come over.
  8. Craig was advised that all his personal sponsors had to be in black and white. The only coloured one on Ipswich is Tru Plant and I can’t see any on the Lynn kevlars. Troy can do what he wants as he isn’t a Chapman rider.
  9. Luke C had a stinker of a meeting. He’s found it tough this year but I hope he manages to turn it round.
  10. If you do that you’re denying a seventh rider a regular place in the team. It’s not as though RR is a regular thing so changing the format to make it look better on the few occasions when we are down to six lads doesn’t make sense.
  11. If we win the afternoon meeting then we’re through to the final. Though this will make the evening meeting a dead rubber it will give the lads more track time especially on a tight circuit. I’d run as per programme with no changes and give the lesser lights a run out in heat 15 if possible. Depends on the heat 14 vote I suppose. Just hope the crashes at Monmore aren’t too serious on Monday night.
  12. Buster would not accept logos as Troy has them. What could Craig have done by way of compromise?
  13. When your second heat leader and four point reserve score zero between then, you are always going to be up against it. Given that one had his collarbone screwed together just a few weeks ago and the other is coming back from well documented major injuries it comes as no surprise. Any opinion to the contrary if frankly baffling. Luckily titles are not won in April and I’m sure later in the season we could expect a modest 12 points from these two to make things a little tighter come heat 15.
  14. Tried to PM you but your account won’t except messages. Everyone else please ignore. I’m amazed by your lack of knowledge of the sport and the participants involved. Yes I speak to the lads first hand and know what they’re going through but there’s quite a lot of information out there to enable you to have a greater understanding if you tried, or are you yet another BSF troll?
  15. Predicable result and pleased to see Dan and Jaimon get some much needed laps in and stay safe. Pleased with that.
  16. National league kicks off with a local derby and the return of Tom Perry. I think he’ll prove a thorn in the side but the rest could struggle to dent a strong looking Colts side. Looking forward to seeing how the youngest cope, especially Jordan Palin as he likes the NSS and should score heavy from reserve. Hoping it’ll be an entertaining meeting in front of a good crowd with plenty of Aces fans wanting to see the new Colts team and a healthy following from nearby Stoke. Colts 54-36
  17. You get a free programme and Easter egg as well. If you don’t want the programme go and sell it to someone in the programme queue and you’ll make a profit on it. Cash only I’m afraid but there you go. Upsetting I’m going to assume you guys don’t like Easter eggs so you can give that away and make a child happy though you’re probably be contributing to his early death due to child obesity so you can still be upset about that.
  18. I’m the same using cash now and then, like most people. With not all transactions being card no matter what size I find spending 30 seconds at an ATM when out buying food or fuel a convenient way to get cash. As I say I think they’re great.
  19. Ok then, Dan, Steve & Jaimon all unbeaten as The Aces take a 20 win. Happy now?
  20. Much like the Peterborough meeting I can only see an Aces defeat whilst our walking wounded find their feet at this early stage in the season. If their number 2 can have a series of breakdowns whilst in scoring positions we might just sneak it again. Track time and race fitness is all I’m looking for from this one.
