It doesn’t, I was replying to a specific post that was quoted.

I wasn’t going to quote the bit where Louis admitted he had reasons for sacking Keynan.

You could make up an alternative narrative for all The Aces but the fact of the matter is someone HAD to go, even including Tate’s injury replacement the fabulous Antti. That’s not debatable. Like I say Ben ticked all the boxes unfortunately but whoever it was we could be unfairly berated for dropping a rider - which we had to do to conform to the rules. Things will be a clearer when the team is announced as why it was Ben. Louis mentioned Keynan wanted to stay as he had unfinished business and that Louis had reasons for getting rid of Keynan. Keynan also had reasons that could affect whether he re-signed or not. Probably 50/50 though as Louis stated it was mostly Kenyan, so 51/49. His sacking was unnecessary, a choice not available to The Aces, again not debatable.

Not for some teams…. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/24results/ipswich_05.09.24_res.pdf https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Pearson_(speedway_rider)

“Team building was actually very easy. There’s a definite feeling I’m getting from the team that there’s unfinished business from last year and they all wanted to come back and complete the job.” Chris Louis

Chris Louis has announced a series of speedway meetings to be held at Ipswich in 2025. “We know this motorcycle sport is quite popular in Poland so we decided to treat bike fans to it in this country by being the first to stage this unique sport. Believe it or not these bikes don’t have brakes” Louis continued. “Following our recent invention of the wheel we thought it only right to see them in action on a racetrack. We always look to innovate and this aligns itself with last year’s initiative where we had bears pooing in Foxhall Woods - a first for both bears and woods”.

Nobody else is? It happens every year. WTF is this fanfare nonsense. Run a junior team and stop trying to hoodwink gullible fans. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Under-19_Championship

The clubs in all three leagues have to be built up to a certain set points limit. Due to this it’s necessary for The Aces and other top clubs to lose a rider to get back under that points limit. It was always going to be Ben Cook or whoever as we had no alternative. For money strapped club like ourselves we have to look at lowering costs all the time and opting to keep a rider who doesn’t carry a loan fee is the best option financially. Unfortunately for Ben he ticked all the boxes for being the one who necessarily had to go. My original post was in reference to Keynan Rew who was dispensed with by Ipswich unnecessarily as they were under the set team building points limit and didn’t need to make any changes. Hope this helps.

Glad he’s got fixed up after being unnecessarily dumped on the scrap heap. 😡

It’s looking like they’ll be no takers for Connor. Only The Aces have offered him any top flight pay since 2022 and unbelievably we get berated for doing so by the trolls. The rest of the lions team looks Ace to me. System working, looking forward to your visits.

It would be nice but from experience, no chance.

The riders are added at the beginning of the year with the date in brackets for when they are eligible to ride as an RS. https://www.scbgb.co.uk/risingstars
-
Apart from RS’s. They are in the top division not because they are good enough to be racing Doyle etc but because they are RS’s.
-
This is Dan’s tenth year as an Ace.
-
That’s a dangerous ideology for anyone to have about anything but that along with the insults has made it very clear to me I’m flogging a dead horse once again. Hope all your riders have a profitable and safe season.
-
No, no, no! I have a thing about right and wrong. I’m not bothered who or which team it is, I just champion what is right. If you hear from me a lot, you are doing something wrong - a lot. Just from the teams this year, Birmingham, Leicester and Oxford don’t hear from me and now Busters currency has waned Kings Lynn don’t either.
-
They’ll be no vote. The sport pretends to be democratic but is anything but as those on the top table call the shots. As has been proven on many occasions what Ipswich want Ipswich get and to hell with the rules. If it came to the above Ipswich would happily see Birmingham close if it helped them get a bit of tin.

Sometimes the stars align and you can end up with a team heavily featuring British riders. Only last year when injuries cost us the title we had six during the season if you also include our No8. The Aces and the Brummies (with two junior sides) have a clear program of British youth development. Ipswich do not thought I do applaud your team that will feature five Brits this coming season, well done. Raising this as a point scoring attempt has failed spectacularly, again well done.
-
The witches management have given a clear indication on their thoughts of the class of ‘24. Not good enough so we will strengthen whilst our rivals get weaker. Take a leaf out you your managements book and wind your necks in about injuries costing you the league - it did’nt but fair play to Louis etc for trying to correct it in 2025 with an improved team. £££££

10 Brits rode and were on the books for Belle Vue this past season and I’m optimistic of a similar number this coming season. It included the British Champion at senior level, U21 (both same as 2022) and the Youth champion. We would have added the U19 champion but for an unfortunate accident. Tbf 5 is a good number so well done but 12 would be better. Mentioning the Colts brings me to the nonsense about Belle Vue only do things that suit themselves. Anybody that thinks running the Colts is a benefit needs to give their head a wobble as we lose money every year, money that could be used to poach a rider off a failing rival due to offering better terms. There’s an overall benefit to UK speedway and it’s something we willing do for the greater good. A difficult concept for most of our “win at all cost” opponents who can just jump back to the second division if the going gets rough saying “I’m alright Jack, sod you”.
-
As has already been said, we could have kept Ben under the current points limit. We chose not to for many reasons, some of which would be lost on a witches supporter.
-
Ben Cook was in our top 3, we let him go. FFS! Birminghams sacking of Zach was an error that has seen him touting himself around other UK clubs. It’s not a done deal yet as we may visit the scrap heap and rescue Keynan.
-
We could have kept Ben and gone top heavy. Brady Kurtz Norick Blodorn Jaimon Lidsey Ben Cook Dan Bewley 3 pointer Jake Mulford (RS) I doubt any top team would have a three pointer partnering the RS just so they could keep their top lads or worse still poach others - would they?
-
I thought Tom was good for the Brummies last season and our ex juniors Steve & Leon put some points on the board. Shame they had to seek out foreign imports that didn’t work out due to the lack of available riders from other clubs. 😡 We’re releasing a 7 point heat leader this time if that helps. This would have been a good team for you, if it fits and folk didn’t gazebo you again Zagar Antti Brennan Worrall (either) B Cook Flint Pearson Up the Aces!

Please don’t bracket Belle Vue with Ipswich & Sheffield on this matter, there is just no comparison, sadly.
