Belle Vue v Poole Monday 1/7/19 BT Sports

The funny thing is that as the powers that be were so wrapped up in the rouse to stop us tracking a stronger No7 they held back on our redeclaration but have now issued it showing Tero 4.55 replacing Ricky 4.52 even though our team total is 43.09. Can get complicated screwing us over sometimes. -

How did Wolverhampton get a facility for the injured Nick Morris given he hadn’t ridden for them? -

That guy really knows very little of speedway rules and tactics. Laughable. -

Well done to Poole on the win and their part in an entertaining encounter. When luck comes your way you cannot squander those chances and though it was close they managed to cash it in. Having said that the pirates seem to know more than any team the opportunities that the NSS offer. They know there’s no home advantage and that races needn’t be over after the first two bends. This saw them pull off some sweet moves that really added to the night. For the Aces they’ll have to like their wounds and hope that luck really doesn’t even out over the season. Quick word for the management committee, well played guys, you got us. -
He does the odd grasstrack meeting.

Jye averaged 6.50 around the NSS so he’s a big improvement for Poole. Becker was the fifth best rider on display in the recent SON with his double figure score so he’s improves things further, especially as these lads can take Richie’s rides. Everybody knows how Richie struggles around the NSS. You’ve got to take the luck when it comes your way and I with this in mind I cannot see past a Poole victory. Racing should be great again so not all bad. -

The relegation play off, I never knew if it was good or bad to be in that. Like you say if you had beaten Ipswich you’d have dodged the tie with the Monarchs whereas losing meant the Aces has to do battle with them instead. -

Yes, good point. They would normal keep going as many Poole meetings have played on after 10.15pm. You’re right that its extremely rare for Poole not to go the full distance. The one ten years ago had nothing riding on it as win or lose Poole we’re out of the play offs, so there was no need to carry on. Thanks for the info. -

Thanks for that, it’s goes someway to prove my point as I said only ninety odd percent of the time would meetings be called with the home team in front. I actually didn’t expect it would be ten years ago to find an example but well done, keep them coming. -

If you believe yes, I see now why my opinion on the subject would be considered that of a muppet or a wind up merchant. Over the years teams, whether a curfew was in place or there had been an agreed finish time, would continue in an effort to gain a win or call it if they were in front. I’d say this would happen ninety odd percent of the time. Poole over the last decade or so have become infamous for stretching, bending or just plain breaking the rules. This I hope goes some way to explain my take on it all but I can appreciate any newbies without this knowledge would take it as red that everything was above board, as it should be. Alternatively if you believe that clubs call meetings whether in front or not or that Poole’s reputation is unwarranted then I can understand why you’d think my opinion don’t match yours. -
He’s got the rules wrong again.

So you honestly believe they would have called if off had they been losing? Genuine question, yes or no? -

Ah yes, sorry for the typo. Your correction only confirms what I thought about the importance of the points to you guys so yes it’s 3 not 2, well done. -

If The Aces has been winning the curfew would have gone out of the window. Problem with HT8 was Dimitri gated. He couldn’t buy a point away from home up to that point but hitting the front is all that’s required at Poole sadly. I could probably get a result if I started well enough. The sheer frustration for Nico and Richie due to not being able to pass on the Poole track led to the unfortunate incident. Two points for Poole though and that’s all that matters down there. -

Poole being Poole. -
It’s hilarious the stuff he makes up and in such an obvious manner. It’s all one note though so you may as well block the troll as you’ll only get more of the same.

Glad to see Ricky turn a corner so to speak, aside from the collective poor show at Swindon Ricky has averaged near 7 points a meeting in the last month. Dan and Steve are getting better by the day and with Kenneth and Max we have a great top two. I’m still optimistic that as we near October we’ll be hitting form.
-
There’s only been five or six meetings on the new track so it’s still early days and it’s definitely heading in the right direction. There was three decent races last night and that’s three more than I’ve seen at Swindon over the last few years, even when we’ve been winning. The Aces were rubbish last night and this Swindon team will push us hard on our “best track in the world”
-
Aces unfortunately didn’t have their gating boots on, though you could pass on the track as heats 4,8 & 15 all had passing after the back straight, first lap. Obvious where changes needed within the team and we’ve still got to hope Steve and Dan come good after their horrendous injuries by the autumn. Jensen was the difference last night, what a signing. Well done Robins.
-
You only got five points from R/R in the rides partnered with Doyle then Jensen got 5-1’d in heat eight, at the last meeting. Hoping for the same in heat eight and a bit less in the others which by the sound of things from the Robins fans is very likely.
-
Aces have been gating well lately and this has effected the racing at NSS. If we continue in this vein then we’ll win, if not we won’t.

Exactly. A more seasoned campaigner would have put it down to get the points in a rerun. Just inexperience on his part. -
