  1. My thoughts exactly but still seen in a very bad light by many on here. That opinion saddens me to be honest.
  2. Don’t forget PC and Kenny Carter, also going for individual glory in an FIM event. Must admit I’m ok with that, it’s the picking and choosing leagues that gets me. The forum, even now surprises me. I never thought that when PC rode to 2nd in the world with a leg full of stitches or Carter won the British Final with a broken leg, that there’d be fans thinking they were wrong uns for riding in FIM events whilst not turning out for their respective league clubs. Every days is a learning day, as they say.
  3. The Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) were aware that King's Lynn's Benjamin Basso returned from his recent shoulder injury to represent his Polish League Club Lodz on the 3rd August 2024. Despite Mr Basso competing in four races, he was withdrawn from his fifth heat and subsequently suffered a reoccurrence of his previous shoulder injury. The SCB were informed on the 5th August 2024 that due to this reoccurrence shoulder injury Mr Basso would not be available to return to the King's Lynn team in their fixture versus Leicester also on the 5th August 2024 and the home fixture against Belle Vue on the 8th August 2024. The SCB requested that a new medical certificate would be required to avoid Mr Basso receiving a suspension of his SCB Registration. A new medical certificate was received by the SCB on the 6th August 2024. Therefore, as Mr Basso had received this injury whilst representing his Polish Club and the SCB had received a new medical certificate, the SCB Regulation 010.5 g) would allow King's Lynn a facility for a period up to 28 days from the 5th August 2024 Kings Lynn have been informed that if Mr Basso competes in any other events during this period then that’s fine by them As of the 12th August 2024, if the facility has not been extended then Mr Basso and Kings Lynn can do what the hell they like. When asked why this statement differed from that put out by the SCB just six weeks earlier they responded saying “one team was from Manchester - der”
  4. OK. Leicester could have finished 4th when Dan guested for them but they just missed out on race points. I respect your right to your opinion though.
  5. https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/22615/ipswich-premiership-13-06-2024 https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/22445/kings-lynn-premiership-25-2024 https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/22092/kings-lynn-premiership-28-2023
  6. Some clubs get treated differently, or more to the point ONE.
  7. This scenario was in place when we signed Dan but were prevented from using him by the BSPL. They trotted out a line that no deal had been done when in reality is was due to the fact that UK teams had assembled without “polish” riders and they didn’t like the fact we had, so they stopped us using Dan. The current deal wasn’t deemed acceptable at the time but somehow a few months later, it was fine. Stopping a Brit, the British champion no less from competing in the British league, you couldn’t make it up.
  8. Firstly, get well soon Emil. It’s as important now to wish the injured rider well as it was with Max Fricke in ‘22. If you mean defeating injury hit opponents then that’s EXACTLY how you like to win meetings. You then get irritate when adequate replacements are sort!
  9. Let’s hope they take all of their rides and don’t abort. If they do and then miss a Stars meeting the forum will go mad.
  10. I think they’re using it to keep the pit gate closed during races.
  11. Don’t forget PC and Kenny Carter etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. Riders potentially letting themselves down whilst chasing individual glory is vastly different to letting their team down when trying to ride injured.
  12. If Lynn use R/R I’m sure it could be programmed where he rides for both teams and doesn't meet himself - or has this already happened with Chris Harris?
  13. I think he means British Champion Dan Bewley, the 3rd best rider (0.08 behind 2nd) currently participating in the Premiership having increased his already impressive starting average by almost a point.

  15. Amazing the Brummies scored just 3 more points when they last met the Aces at home and they were the best thing since sliced bread. Great team, manager, track etc… Now they’re the worst thing going. Speedway fans. BTW. They just didn’t gate well enough. It’s always a danger if you opt for gate’n’go speedway. LET THE LADS RACE!!!!
  16. Premier League fans be like, “the racing is good at Belle Vue and my home track.”
  17. “Make it a date Friday at 8” “British speedway - Fuelled by excitement” “ No brakes, no gears, no fear” “Find something else to do on a Thursday night” Not sure the last one works despite it’s accuracy.
  18. Didn’t take long for the old “Aces are stronger with a guest”. Can I swap my £779 for £896 please as I like your thinking.
  19. 2022 Rulebook 012.2 TEAM COMPOSITION A Premiership Transfer Window opens after 25% of the League fixtures are complete and closes when 75% of League fixtures are complete. This permits changes to the team on 2 occasions, except for proven long term injury. No rule broken. 2023 Rulebook 010.2.1 Established MA’s Are calculated, up to and including the cut-off date for a specified number of applicable meetings. Taking account of the number of heats and points (excluding bonus points) that a rider has scored. Updated MA’s will be calculated monthly on a rolling basis on all eligible meetings from the past 2 seasons, up to and including 23rd of the month, to become effective from the 1st of the following month. Lamberts MA was not calculated in this way because he was on an assessed average. (2022 7.61 2023 7.81). His assessed average was shown on declarations with a * for his entire 2023 season because he was riding with an assessed average. He had an old established MA but didn’t HAVE a current one. 012.4.2 Guest Rider (G) c) the guest must be in a current team declaration and have an established MA. Have is current tense not past tense. Rule broken.
  20. Belle Vue don’t see the best of away tracks - never have. The best way to defeat a team of racers from Collins to Bewley is to make it ALL about the start. Trouble is it soon becomes the norm and gate’n’go wins are considered the way to go. This has been truly awful for a sport that can be so spectacular if allowed.
  21. I remember that happening with Niklas Klingberg. Do you remember the club and promoter who gazumped him?
  22. Your lack of understanding of the rules in question is disappointing. You’re the personification of ignorance is bliss.
  23. Going off last year if a club wants Musielak to guest then he can but that might only apply if Sheffield want him.
