  1. Need help with this if anyone knows what's what. Green light on. Rider gets disqualified for delaying the start and that running of the race ends at that point as a replacement is required. After this but before the rerun of the heat a rider then touches the tapes. Should he be disqualified from a race that had already been stopped and why? I've seen it twice this year but never before.
  2. Before DAC takes over another thread with his anti play-off rhetoric he needs to get it in his head that the vast majority of the current 4,000 weekly attending EL spectators like them.
  3. I think PC is more remembered for all the trophies and success he had both internationally and at club level. However Swindon...... Not me, but I hate cheats. I had another go at the management about this only the other week. Such was the outcry from Aces fans that I cannot see anything similar happening again. Fan power, maybe worth a try?
  4. I think once you become known as cheats people can jump to the wrong conclusion. It goes with the territory.
  5. Even if it's not ready 'till late May early June that's still enough time to run the small amount of EL fixtures. I'll be making a trip down when it comes off.
  6. It's the rule for the play offs anyway. Darcy's influence, funny, very good. I don't think The Aces are reacting to sudden success but I reckon the team who have spent most of their existence making up the numbers may be. "Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value".~Albert Einstein
  7. They could have just said he can't be arsed like AM & PK and just get a guest anyway.
  8. Old system Team A scores 46 out of 75 available to them = 61% Winner Team B score 44 out of 75available to them = 59% Loser Joker system Team A score 46 out of 75 available to them = 61% Loser Team B score 47 out of 78 available to them = 60% Winner
  9. I'd have just done onto others and paid them a fee and told them to score two or less. Just not made that way I guess.
  10. If you get Cook & Wright then that strengthens you, unless they "do a Zengota".
  11. One of the more challenging things in life is not being the guy who does the cheating, but not saying anything about it and going along with it.
  12. Why would it be dumb? Unless you are suggesting the rider performed badly whilst guesting for his play off opponents on purpose. TBH I prefer your honesty about you cheating instead of this faux shock and denial from some robins fans.
  13. Before DAC takes over another thread with his anti play-off rhetoric he needs to get it in his head that the vast majority of the current 15,000 attending EL spectators like them.
  14. The personalised bricks will be built into an internal wall of honour in the entrance concourse while pavers to be used on an external walkway leading up to the main entrance are also available. A single brick is £49, a double brick is £99 and a replica for people wanting to keep one is £30. On placing your order you will receive a confirmation email and once the order is processed a certificate will be issued. http://www.bellevueaces.co/images/2015/nssbuyabrickorderform.jpg
  15. Absolute certainty as Worral is second behind Garrity by 0.04.
  16. Christ, it's only a bit of fun. I drag this one out every few years as some sort of pub quiz trivia. Looks like I misread the room.
  17. CRAVEN, CRAVEN, COLLINS, Lee, Havelock, CRUMP, CRUMP, CRUMP & Woffinden. 9 champs. 6 Aces.
  18. Well, I was answering the point you made about the expense of taking teenagers to speedway and showing it can be done for the price of a pint. If you had a speedway pot and spread the cost over a year it's £49 per month or £11 per week. Many families including me spread costs over a yearly period as you're correct in saying £168 a month is a lot, it is however similar to a family of four watching a 3D film every week. I think that's too much and as such rarely visit the cinema whereas years ago I attended weekly. I suppose I prioritise my leisure £. Having said all that I do believe the sport is overpriced but we appear to have painted ourselves into a corner there re costs for the competitors.
  19. Don't envisage a frosty atmosphere around the table more a supportive discussion on moving things forward - it's just the way we work. It would be a bit churlish to have a pop at Max as his fabulous performance during his steep learning curve (including the heat 15's) with us has helped see us into the play off zone. He will get all the support and encouragement from the management team and I'd be surprised if he's not another Aces world champion, just a shame he's not British. Out of the last nine British born world championship wins, six have won whilst an Ace and with the new academy going on stream I can only see that raising so it's win win really.
  20. Family ticket is £42 for 2+2 so that works out at £3.50 each for the two children under 17. Students 17 and over are then £13 each.
  21. If Richie wants to better himself then he has some terrific facilities at his disposal from early next year covering on and off track aspects of the sport and all only twenty odd miles from home, but he needs to want it. Whether we can help turn him into the next British number two and Cardiff regular remains to be seen but even pushing on like his brother and fellow Aces asset would be a move in the right direction. He didn't get job at Belle Vue as it's doubtful he would have hit Josh's average of 6.40 and I'd go as far as saying he probably wouldn't have lifted his poor 2014 figure just .42 to match his replacement at Lakeside currently on a splendid 5.95. A few years back and Richie would have got his place with The Aces but the days of us languishing near the foot of the table are over and we need riders to follow that mindset. Brady Kurtz doesn't double up, yet he has two points on Richie in the PL so it's not just lack of racing. At the end of the day he needs to want it but rest assured he's part of the family and we will offer him an extremely high level of support to see him achieve what he wants.
  22. The thing with Cardiff is that it offers excellent viewing in a lovely seating area with state of the art lighting and sound systems and its run a night when there is no school the day after. If only we could run under such conditions.......
