  1. No he chose to take the honest way out rather than have an ef or ride through the tapes. Wrongly punished for stickibg to his guns. And for all those Lynn fans blasting him, it was only from the night before he was quoted in our local paper saying he told the rest of the Stars all he knew about set up and racing at Poole ..... and of course we won! But we made a decent team up with him!
  2. Cos he wants to concentrate on having a good GP at a guess .....
  3. Poole rider or not Holder has always had support from Lynn and British Speedway fans in general. He's always been honest in interviews, no bullsh*t. He's been to the top of World Speedway and has ridden our tracks for years as a heat leader/number one so has oodles of experience. This year, for whatever reason, he's been struggling with form everywhere but he'd made the breakthrough in the SWC I thought and I was looking forward to his performances with the Stars for the rest of the season. He made a stand on Thursday, he was certainly not the only one, but he's carrying the can, the SCB are wrong to have singled him out for their harsh punishment.
  4. He's been riding pretty good this season, very consistent and has certainly been making passes that he wouldn't have done for a while.
  5. I'll defend any rider who thinks a track is dangerous, I want to see good racing with riders having confidence to race 100% .... Apart from Nicki Pedersen of course .... He's dropped his average everywhere hasn't he?
  6. I do agree with this, as I always say, it's their bodies, their bikes, their lives .... nobody can argue against that .....
  7. There's loads of good promoting being done this season at different clubs. It's great to see it all being shown on twitter and facebook.
  8. Tell us where the money goes in Poland and Sweden Phil please?
  9. You were perfectly placed to hear and see what was going on unlike the rest of us on here. Related the story to my son about the night, his first thoughts were why wasn't the meeting abandoned in view of Dale being taken ill? It had crossed my mind. I certainly wasn't in any mood for speedway once I heard about it.
  10. The fact that in the end Buster did extensive track work justified the stance of the riders ..... Buster tried to sort it by grading but it didn't work so took further measures ....
  11. He picked up before he clipped the back wheel .....
  12. So you think our riders didn't want to win, you're talking out of your red and white flagged arse MB! You know exactly why the British give support to our sportsmen who don't win, we have the sense to help build their confidence to give it another go. You're as hard as nails, it's so easy to now be a fan of Polish Speedway, they're on a role, just like British Speedway was in the 50s\60s. Let's hope as Poland grows that the same thing that has happened to British Speedway doesn't happen in Poland .....
  13. To Schlein, the guy who was a cat's whisker from being paralysed? You want him to tell that to Holder who suffered those terrible injuries at Coventry and who's best mate is in a wheelchair indirectly because of a track fault?
  14. And he's ALWAYS had plenty of support at Lynn, we've always respected his performances as a Pirate Chris come home ..... he will, don't worry your little head about that ... awwwww
  15. Yeah that's it, the guys haven't all ridden to their best, and with injuries .....
  16. So you think Chris was happy to not have a job at Poole this year?
  17. Woffinden has burnt his bridges imo, I don't think he has respect from the riders and certainly not the fans. He may be a winner but there is more to it than that.
  18. No, you sacked him off m8! Or rather Matt did without hardly a word from the fans!! Oops, wasn't gonna do this but there ya go!
  19. Some of you make out they are unhealthy slobs! None of them are stupid. The failure of TeamGB to be placed in the SWC final was nothing to do with their lack of fitness but their lack of experience, something they will try to address I'm sure.
  20. IF they could get a good sponsor or some tv revenue? Have to be on a Saturday night/Sunday afternoon ..... sounds almost impossible unless it's all youngsters .....
  21. Not heard that as a reason for Tai not racing. Poland have more riders to choose from than any country nowadays, the kids go to speedway school, the tracks are available ALL of the time to all their riders. Poland were practicing for a fortnight on the Leszno track before the final weren't they? How can we compete with that? Our set up is completely different. We have our leagues to bring on our boys and the Poultec courses which is helping some of them. Robert Lambert is doing his Polish apprenticeship in their 3rd division and it's going well, no doubt he will try to move up next year, good luck to him
