  1. So does this signing signify that the Poles will not impose their 'one league only' or '2 leagues only' rules?
  2. He had his 8/9 days off as per the rules....
  3. Have you not read the vitriol from a few fans re the Aussies, these people would have them stay in Aus forever!
  4. Oh no, the SGP needs guest riders from the Euros lol, doubleuppers!
  5. I have 3 20+ children, 2 boys and a girl, only my daughter attends speedway and only for the Social side of it. One son is interested in the racing and even had a little go himself but is not fan material, the other son has not one iota of interest in speedway. It's so hard to work out what will attract people, young people, has to be cheap, has to be colourful, interactive, exciting (ie lots of passing), good music. Loads of effort needs to go in, some promoters are putting lots of effort in, some not so. Have said for years that the promoters should poll ideas at the conference, must admit to seeing some promoting ideas being used by many which is great. Thing is are their ideas attracting more fans, I so hope so! I really don't think stuff like doubling up concerns many young, future fans, it's the entertainment they get at their track on the night what matters imo, the interaction of their team on the night etc. Hope none of them come on here and read any of the moaning, it'll put them off going to speedway for life, moaning old gits, I hear them say haha
  6. Can symptoms come and go, guessing so, never had concussion, plenty of migraines but not caused by that, doubt David would make that up....
  7. Yes I'd like that to go with the only tactical move being gate changes when 6 down.
  8. It's no good comparing the two, forget Polish speedway, we can't compete with their stadiums or their monies. British speedway is what it is.... But we can all try to make it better, that goes without saying 😀
  9. No we didn't, Buster changed for the stocks I think, either that or it was about the time the Gp series started...
  10. Yes there are a few where you don't have your team racing but it's usually because of a few different things, take our meeting at Leicester, Buster had sacked two of our original team, signed new boys who weren't available on that date, had injuries to cover too, so how can he get out of that one? Now if the league wasn't so strictly governed by the TV dates this could've been rearranged but no, it doesn't work like that. And age, health and enthusiasm for life does have a bearing.... young people generally don't moan as much, it's all new to them, they haven't summered and wintered the sport, they aren't so synical, they go with mates, have fun... I know, I'm no youngster 😂
  11. No, because you are older and not full of life and enthusiasm... You don't know now, your team don't race anymore, you'll never have that feeling again unfortunately, unless your team starts up again? The fans are the clubs and if they feel pride and 'love' for their club it will rub off on the riders and management of the time hopefully.
  12. Times have changed, don't we have to change with it, or at least try? Kings Lynn changed from Saturdays to Wednesdays and survived. They all manage Mondays for TV.
  13. Fell out of love, simple as ................ speedway racing is still great
  14. You want to use your number 8? Or does your promotion want to use a rider base in Kent for a meeting in Edinburgh? It's how it has to be, no more than using a guest if your number one is injured is it? Until the sport becomes a lot more popular than it is so your promotion can pay big £££ a point and keep a squad of riders on his books we have to put up ......... or do the other
  15. Did anyone really expect anything other than this scenario. We're all behind ya Cookie!!!!
  16. It's a knock on effect without the top riders racing here we need riders to fill our teams. I'd like to think that doubling up improves riders skills anyway. I personally don't have any problem with it, we can live in our club bubble and not even consider any other team that our riders race for, when they are racing for our team they are our riders...
  17. I'd suggest that for years Aussies have been welcome in the UK and done their job?
  18. Did they successfully sue the contractors for using defective material under the track?
  19. For some, probs those who have never supported him anyways?
  20. No, he realised that some fans would take what he said the wrong way ...... he was simply reacting to his mate's treatment from the British authorities .... who wouldn't stand up for someone who supported you through thick and very, very thin as Holder has done for Darcy?
