  1. So there are tracks in Denmark that don't provide particularly entertaining speedway too then? What's being done, do they need to have their shape changed?
  2. If there was a Barry Hearn type he'd need millions to buy all the stadiums.... speedway ain't no darts or snooker!
  3. What has Robert said please? I'm another that hopes he stays, nobody in their right mind would want him to be lost to the club. The 2nd half of the season has been awful for everyone, I sincerely hope there are enough good people out there wanting to get involved with the club, strength in depth is needed imo, we never want anything like that Thursday happening again along with the subsequent consequences.
  4. So many folk on here are admitting that they have liked speedway for donkeys years, have no longer got their home town team to support, live miles from a speedway, can't get to a club, only watch on TV ... and moan like hell about the sport. There's a lady comes to Lynn, she used to go to Norwich Speedway, has been to Lynn from the start, is over 80,I don't know anyone who shouts for her team as much as she does, speedway keeps her going, let's her forget her age, her aches and pains, the loss of her husband... if only you all had a little of what she runs on 😂
  5. The passion of supporting your team, there's nothing like being on the terraces willing/shouting at your team to win 😁 Yeah we all watch it on TV...
  6. Waheyyy, thank goodness for the club fans who love their speedway! Never, ever the same after you have lost your team, the passion dies!
  7. On my part, I'm doing my lil bit, together with others, to find ways of giving a little bit more to fans on race nights through the Supporters Club and our riders by way of Rider of the Night. All our members who have chosen their Rider of the Night, met the rider, had photo taken and watched from the centre have been happy. The kids who have been mascots, had pit walks, met and had photos taken, Sat on rider's bikes, watched from the centre have loved it, their enthusiasm is wonderful 😊 Just read what happened last night at Wolves when you're moaning. When the clutch drops the bullrubbish stops, it's a dangerous sport for them all, they deserve support if you enjoy speedway racing, it's no walk in the park!
  8. The last meeting against Rye House on the other hand may just be a meeting where all the riders can go out and race, earn their money, enjoy it, no pressure from anyone but themselves, bit like an end of season meeting should be eh ... well apart from Stars Pride which has been a little displaced eh ... go Stars!!!
  9. But they also must've gone over there knowing their equipment was inferior? Years ago riders used to 'hire' engines from tuners for specific big meetings, does this not happen any more and if it does was it out of reach cost wise for our boys?
  10. Polish bikes are specifically tuned and set up for Polish tracks of course, you tell us, you should know. BUT they will have practised and practised, tried out numerous engines, just because they can. The Aussies always help one another, always have done, I guess they have the advantage of being brought up on big sweeping tracks akin to Poland, just because they can, they have plenty of land to build tracks ... Why the hell am I saying all this to you, you know what the British boys problems are, you tell me!!!!
  11. Money probably. Do the Polish youngsters buy all their own equipment, how many engines and bikes do they own, how many times per week do they race/practice?
  12. Most promoters are loyal to their riders from year to yesr!!!!
  13. The team under Dale's management was doing great but then .....
  14. Buster needs to get the backroom staff sorted, we never want That Thursday to happen again in any way, shape or form...
  15. Sad lot! Now back to the sensible discussion!
  16. I reckon the Poles and Lions should've swopped machinery then see what the outcome would be....
  17. Never said Rye owe the fans anything, Buster must get it on for his fans and riders, Rye for their riders.
  18. You ought to do the business in the playoffs, would be great to see the Aces win...
  19. It's got to be run for the sake of the fans (particularly season ticket holders) and riders. Hopefully the Stars can nick a win for us, last go this season unless we end up in the relegation meetings of course!
  20. They all had a good go apart from THJ who was on some poor equipment, MPT was most effective but yes we weren't disgraced
  21. Not in the same vein as Poole no but yes I'd like to see Buster change the shape a bit if possible. Obviously being a multiuse stadium I'm not sure about any alternative to the claybase and/or using other material on top as it's scraped off and put down on a regular basis. We basically need a new "Huggy"!
  22. We should listen to some of what Doyle is saying, take Poole for instance, why can't Matt iron out all the lumps and bumps ffs, it's ridiculous.. Our promoters should study their tracks and try to make them better, smoother, better shaped, do what is necessary. Of course accessing them is a problem and for some it's spending money on something they don't own but if the will is there to improve it and hopefully reap the benefit?
