It doesn't seem to do anything for British Speedway at all. One would just hope that a few of the youngsters who go with parents enjoy it enough to carry on going, that's where the great racing comes in ..... One other thing the Speedway Great Britain merchandise, is anyone really gonna buy a t-shirt with 'Daily Star' on the front?

Yes they were but with a HUGE end result, crowning of the World Champion. GPs don't come close to the excitement of Wembley for anyone, it was the anticipation of your favourite rider/riders becoming Champion. Maybe Torun, the last round is a like that. We will never have that feeling at Cardiff .....

It's all about the TV schedule, in fact there are loads of things to take into consideration these days, particularly rider availability given we are so far down the pecking order where we used to be top dog lol

My first thought were why put it on the centre green but as you say, I looked at the overall pic and the place was filled with tents etc so can see why they used it, whatever they did speedway was a nono unfortunately

Imo IF the racing was better and the crowds larger because of it, nearly all the points in your second paragraph would be sorted apart from Poole bending, oops sorry I meant to type rule bending ...
