  1. Yes get excited Lunchy, if the riders put in as much effort as they did for Ashley's meeting here at Lynn in March there will be some terrrrrrrrific action. Any idea if the meeting will be videod, are you up for it Anth or is someone already pencilled in?
  2. Haha, even more reason to come now then Dub! Doolan, Jones, Bridger, Lee, Holder .................
  3. Bridger and Holder eh ......... Put me down for a spot on the terraces .... lol
  4. I absolutely sincerely hope that the management do their level best by the team re the track, every team needs their home track advantage/knowledge ........... communication between the team and track man is VITAL now Huggy has gone Such a bleeding shame this has all had to happen this season, at this point in the season, our best ever, damned bull skulled males!!!! BUT, with a bit of give and take, the team can't be thwarted now ................. COME ON!!!!!!!
  5. Well yes it was pretty entertaining although I had my hands over my eyes at times and heart in my mouth after moves from a rider or two. I dooooooooo hope Tomas will be ok, it would be terrible if he now missed out on THE most important matches of the season through an injury in this meeting, which really, like the Boro challenge, should be after all our cup and league matches imo! All the riders were well up for the POULTEC challenge, which was great from a fan's point of view, no going through the motions tonight for sure!! Davy Watt certainly deserved his win in the final (although Tomas may have given him a run for his money had he not been injured ) closely followed by Dan the Man, with Troy and Chris having their own personal dual for 3rd with Troy coming out on top again as he did in the ultra entertaining heat 14 when a dead heat would have been the fairer result! I was particularly keeping an eye on the performances of Paul Lee and Mark Jones. Paul scored a credible 8 points including two wins, in heat 18 he was having a good race against a chasing Kev Doolan when Kev's chain came off I think. I certainly feel that Mark has got loads more to give, his 3 points don't tell the whole story tonight and I sincerely hope he gets his team place next season! He'd win the most controlled wheelie of the night comp without a doubt! The fireworks were FANTASTIC!
  6. I hope you miss a real good one then A certain home winner, I reckon Messrs Holder, Watt, Howe and Tacey may have summat to say about that! And are you telling me that a race with Batchelor, Holder, Watt and Doolan won't be entertaining? Or Oliver, Jones, Mills and Harding? Or Topinka, Watt, Holder and Pijper? Or Howe, Tacey, Doolan and Harding? etc etc I'd certainly 1000% rather pay £10+ to watch this meeting than some ruddy old footie match for a fiver ................... no comparison, how could you even contemplate it! lol
  7. But we see them on tv every week, things have changed Why not give all our riders, our potential riders and the others in the line up the chance to earn a pound or two extra rather than those top boys who get the lion's share of open meeting berths? It'll be entertaining, must admit I was looking forward to the Holder v Bridger races but there's still plenty more duals between the riders in it that I'm looking forward to seeing hehehe
  8. Nearly all elite teams are racing next Wednesday, 8 of them anyhow including Eastbourne away at Arena Essex so I'm guessing that will be Lewis Bridger out which is a big disappointment really. Have we got a revised line up as yet?
  9. You beat me to it Ben. I'll add that the unluckiest rider of the night award went to Richie Dennis who fell in his 2nd ride when his throttle stuck open and then failed to make it out in his next ride presumably because of his bike troubles. Most entertaining rider of the night went to Mark Jones not only for his racing but those wheelies!! James Birkinshaw top scored with 14 points from the heats followed by Mark Jones on 13, Danny Betson on 12, Darren Mallett on 11 and Irwin, Mark Thompson and Benji Compton on 10. James and Mark went straight through to the final and Darren and Nathan Irwin made it through from the semi. Obviously the semi and final were the two best races of the night. Good to remember Nixy in this way
  10. It was a very entertaining GP, watching speedway there weekly must be grrreeeeat! Did you hear the comment that Gollob can just turn up at the Bydgoszcz track and do as many laps as he likes for as long as he likes, we don't have any facilities like that at british GP tracks (erm, there are none!) for british GP riders, at any british tracks for any british riders for that matter, have we? The british boys desparately need tracks where they can learn and do as many laps as needed from an early age, IF ONLY we had a similar set up to Sweden, Poland, Denmark and Australia (to a certain extent).
  11. You jibbed at posting the final standings of the 12 lapper then miss me
  12. He's got a lot going for him has Zagar, along with Lindback and Jonsson imo, I dunno, perhaps it's youthful exuberance, they are certainly all naturals on the track, on the mic and with the crowd, keep it that way I say
  13. Yep practice seems a COMPLETE waste of time judging by what most riders say at every GP. Did Greg dedicate his win to Steve Irwin, is that what he said?
  14. We didn't need worry about Jason, copied and pasted this from a Brisbane newspaper article
  15. OK m8, perhaps I did hear it wrong, I sincerely hope I did, don't want to lose the guy to speedway yet!!!!!!
  16. Had to finish taping the coverage and watch it again ............. Jason said he didn't know if he had the motivation to try to win another title, hmmmmmmm.
  17. If we're not good enough to qualify we're not good enough, should make our riders more determined to get there in 2008 perhaps?
  18. Only cos it WAS a racing incident and they are both danes probably, no aggro there in the first place Poor old bloke, I've only watched from heat 18, dunno which heat it was but he thought it was Hancock in front saying he'd got the position he needed when all the time it was Andersen, oops. Is it a possibility that nobody wants or has time to take on his role full time hence they overlook his booboos and stick with him? Hugely disappointed for Mr Adams, how unlucky can you get!!!!!
  19. Many, many congratulations to Jason on his 2nd World Championship win, the 2nd of more I hope! Yes, we are the lucky ones!
  20. Yes I would like them race as pairs, it would certainly put more emphasis on team riding! As for the World Pairs, wouldn't mind this competition coming back either
  21. Oh how wonderful, another bleeding GP to fit in around league fixtures, isn't JP a saint! Why not have them every week and no league racing ...........
  22. That's what was said 20 years ago Steve If the FIM and BSI went for a "proper" qualifying system and fewer GP's the whole thing would hold more water. Not that I don't think every rider who has won the world title since the GP's started is not worthy of course!
