  1. Here, here Liz and it's really great when riders from teams make a special effort to celebrate any victory with their travelling fans, it shows they appreciate the effort that people put in to travel, hundreds of miles in some cases, and the money it costs, to support them
  2. Makes the fans feel appreciated doesn't it .......... Fingers crossed that Millsy's weekend performances have seen him over his slight blip in form We want him milking it more often Right on the arse I should hope, you've got it all wrong!! Glory supporters, jesus, just look back at the history of our club and you'll soon see if fans who have been attending KL for 20+ years are glory supporters!!!!!
  3. My first ever PL Fours meeting, fantastic value for money at £15 for 32 races!!! Congratulations to the Islanders, they rode superbly on a track that obviously suited them and their engines down to the ground ................ reminiscent of the IOW track perhaps .............. that's just mean, they did fantastic I was obviously very pleased that after a pretty slow start the Stars got it all together and made it to the final and got the third place, and yep THAT ride by Millsy was great, he had another real good race in heat 13 too I thought. Enjoyed the style of Dan round the Showground, suited him. The gate and first bend mix was imperative most of the time so they all did well at times not so at others. Huge shame for Trev in his one and only race, he looked fast and smooth, sod's law to have an ef and then to seize his spare engine, hope the bill isn't too costly!!! At least they all got a trophy to add to their collection ................... Ah that brings me nicely on to one of my pet grievances, TROPHIES .............. yeah all the riders got TROPHIES for winning the FOURS but what TROPHIES did the riders get for winning the LEAGUE, KOC and PREMIER TROPHY last season BLOODY NONE, come on BSPA sort ya damn priorities out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I have got that one off my chest, one or two more moans, I thought the meeting could have produced soooooooooooooooo much better racing had a better race track been prepared, we got slick city instead, that was graded and watered ONLY every 4 heats ala the GPs. We, too, noticed that after watering (two times round when they easily had time for 4!) took place the Massey 135 scampered all over the shop with his grader drying the track out again, makes sense to me that you grade THEN water over the top surely?? So everyone on the back straight was covered in dust, did they not notice this or was it just up to us to move?? Where should we have gone btw, we don't do sitting down in stands at speedway!!! Here, here, we keep wowing over these young aussies so it's great to see some young brits turning on the style too
  4. And you can go to the World Under 21 final the day after too, which SHOULD be a fantastic meeting, better than the GP
  5. I totally agree if Wato rode in the Pairs then Stoney should definitely be able to race in the fours ........................ the rule is not consistant! I wouldn't worry to much, all fans know that there's oodles of volunteers involved in speedway, without them there wouldn't be any clubs! Perhaps the BSPA/Jonathan will issue a thank you to everyone involved at the end of the series ................
  6. That's what I thought. I think simply changing the venues has made a big difference to these meetings, you have to put the big meetings on where the majority of fans want to see them and they have achieved that, well almost, although I would have been happy if the ELRC had been at Sheffield too as I have good memories of the last time it was staged there. I bet there isn't one PL fan who hasn't got good memories of when the Fours used to be held there so that was obvious choice. They have listened to the fans and it seems to have worked, if the fans are happy and up for the meetings it probably rubs off on the riders too ................ now if the riders are UP for it then we're in for a few treats At the end of the day, if we want speedway to continue and thrive in this country we've all gotta be positive, promoters, riders and fans
  7. Uhuh, 4 lower, middle and upper tiers in a row on the back straight, so obvious haha
  8. Looked to me as though they'd filled about 4 tiers specially for the cameras
  9. Only cos they gave away loads of freebies again, was a comp in my local paper this year again like the first year .................
  10. I know Chris has gotta stand the test of time but he's looking to be our next "Mark Loram" ................. can't help supporting such a racer and such a geniune sorta guy WELL DONE CHRIS HARRIS, you had us all in tears man!
  11. I picked up on his genuine congratulations to Chris Harris and the british fans I dunno if anyone else noticed but he tapped Chris on the behind and must have told him to stand in the car and enjoy his winner's parade and then made sure he didn't fall down back in the car with a steadying arm too (his fatherly instinct eh nice touch Jason)
  12. Perhaps I should have worded that differently hahaha You're lucky I didn't put a quid in the helmet colour arghhhhhhhhhhhh
  13. I have this picture in my mind of him in a booth with his butt poised, a quid in the slot for a squeeze, can't quite see how long the queue is though, actually I think that's Shaz who keeps running round again to the back of the queue haha
  14. Bloody nora, what are you lot still arguing over this meeting
  15. Cos they are going to Somerset the day before and Newport after so they might as well spend the day in Cardiff in the middle hahahahahaha
  16. For anyone who isn't planning on watching the GP in the stadium it'll be on SKY in the Walkabout apparently ................ anyone know what other pubs show it in the city centre?
  17. Ha, pooed on the league and pooed on the riders!!
  18. Now if I was going to Cardiff I'd look forward to hearing Ray, such a natural entertainer and imo could sing anything given the opportunity.
  19. Yep big well done to Chris, Ed and Lewis That final will be one hell of an entertaining meeting, pity SKY don't cover it! Why don't we email them and ask eh!!?? http://home.skysports.com/contactus/? Do mention that it's the day after the Bydgoszcz GP so they'll have all their filming equipment in Poland
