Mark is involved with the Under 21's whilst recouperating isn't he, perhaps getting around to see the boys race if he's ok to do so is part of his remit, who knows?

Gb Bikes And Tuners
Trees replied to speedy den boy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What was the track like when TeamGB did their practice, did they time their 4 laps, did they race one another? It was almost as if they didn't practice???? -
Interesting post Spook, sounds about right to me. The british boys need to be given much more guidance and support for sure, why don't the likes of Mark Loram and David Norris go round each track and watch the boys race, give them tips, encouragement etc etc

Congratulations Middlo Bashers
Trees replied to pirate paul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes Sube it was a rhetorical question But their averages show that they certainly aren't 9 point men out there ................... Is it time for all british tracks to be bald so our boys have to make bikes work on slick surfaces? -

Swc Round 2 Coventry 14th July
Trees replied to skid row's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Olly Allen certainly didn't sulk, he rode well in 2 of his races I saw! So don't tar them all with the same brush!! How clever! Nah, I've seen them ride well, haven't you? Not consistently granted but I definitely have! Perhaps what they need on their side is some clever, technically gifted speedway people. -
Swc Round 2 Coventry 14th July
Trees replied to skid row's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Hmmmmmmmmmm that was a tad embarrasing to say the least, it's not cos our riders are crap cos on their day they can beat the best, they'll have to work out what went wrong and hopefully put things to rights on Thursday. They must compare themselves to the danes and swedes and see what the difference is because there is a difference ....................... -
Yeah I'm waiting for them to get to the position where no team will want to win their qualifier ................ that'll be a laugh!

Was the track the norm for Leszno last night? The lines didn't seem to work for the riders like they have in the past .................... making it not such an exciting meeting as it should have been imo? The crowd looked pretty sparse too, were the prices too high for the poles to attend?

G P Pay Rates
Trees replied to billybikespeedway's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Oh so the BSPA didn't keep it all to themselves eh!! Perhaps IMG/BSI pay the riders a bonus? Jeff? -
He can have a speedway career, just not at the highest level. All depends what he wants out of his career doesn't it, I guess everyone who makes it to the top of any profession has to make sacrifice.

Surely not, re Flint, he should be serving a ban by then and going for a refresher course in reffing? -

Polish Ref Out Of Gps
Trees replied to pirate paul's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Comes all a bit late for Adams and Pedersen though .................... maybe lessons should be learnt from this and 3 refs should be on duty at the GPs to make sure the rider's receive the right result!! -
Sounds to me as if IMG really are trying hard to get their rent down at the Millennium stadium What the the hotel problem and now Wembley raring it's head!

** Cardiff Gp Music / Presentation **
Trees replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You're behind the times we've certainly had riders tunes for years at Lynn, probably since Parks rode for Lynn. Can't comment on the live music at Cardiff but from what I heard on the tv it sounded good and got the crowd going .............. -

Perhaps that's why the fans were booing Nicki, because they thought he did just this? -

Exactly these aren't "just" tracks they are GP, world championship tracks and are turning our sport into a farce and injuring the riders. The riders put on a brave, tough face and say it's the same for everyone but is it really fair for them to have to take their lives in the hands even more than they already do racing speedway. But they're the only ones who can do anything about it, the fans can pass opinion all they like but the riders need to stand up for what is right, Leigh Adams had no problem at Lynn so what's the difference here!! It's the same with that ref, they'll have to send the FIM a letter saying they will not race if that guy is officiating although surely after that performance he will be dropped from all speedway refereeing for life? Thanks for putting me right m8 -

No, the ref did wrong but the rules are also wrong in that riders can go across the rest of the field like they can from gate 4, things like this are bound to happen, bring back the old rule where riders are not allowed to turn until a certain point after the start, can't remember now whether it was 10 or 15 yards.
