You laugh pirateandi but if u'd have lost a few hundred quid on the trip to Germany u'd not be so prepared to joke? -
Gelsenkirken Refunds
Trees replied to westhamboy66's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So that was the time when they started negotiations with Bydgoszcz then I suspect, why the hell didn't they cancel the bleeding meeting then so the fans could cancel their flights and hotels, might have still been out of pocket but at least no quite so much so. No integrity IMG/BSI ............. -
Odsal was brilliant for speedway imo! Don't forget the Ullevi Stadium, Wembley, Los Angeles Colliseum, Chorzow (largest sports stadium in Poland apparently!) etc
-
Looks as though the press releases have worked then haha

Bydgoszcz-who,s Going?
Trees replied to GARY POPPS's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You mean to say, there are going to be fans attending!!? -
To add to the conspiracy theory I just checked in my weekly tv magazine that came in Saturday's local newspaper to see if there were any repeats of the GP on SKY listed for the early hours Sunday or Sunday morning/afternoon ................ nothing .............. how odd ............... did they know something we didn't! Unless of course they didn't have any time in their schedule to repeat the GP, feasible I guess ............... Nobody really knows although I think the private tv companies would have bought the rights to show World Championship Speedway off of whoever was promoting it over the last few years ..............

Chris Holder For Next Weekend's Gp
Trees replied to KrisB's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
May be stronger teams but there certainly isn't the plethora of tracks of different shape, size and surface that we have over here, that is what makes british speedway so unique and difficult -

It's the principle of it Mateusz, IMG have treated you and fellow fans with contempt and you are supporting them again!! You are a very forgiving person! -
The s**t might have hit the fan if he had been, he wouldn't be so forgiving in his postings then I doubt

Taking the easy route then, ah well, what he has never experienced I guess he won't miss. -

Good job u put that wink at the end of your sentence cos I nearly exploded with anger ............ I agree with your 2nd sentence though of course. Will Emil ever prove that he's a good allrounder like Chris by racing over in GB though -
Rumbled Doesn't really matter what I think though, thought my question would be an obvious one though and the answer of interest to all those who have wasted their money going to the event? It's still hard to believe that IMG have let this happen, how embarrasing for such a company!!

It was the reason I gave for people on this forum (the BRITISH SPEEDWAY forum) suggesting Holder should be wild card for this ill-fated final GP, nowt else. And anyways regarding Emil, I bet if Chris had the personal manager/entourage/sponsors etc that he has perhaps it would give him that small percentage of advantage that Emil has gained (afa the under 21 WC is concerned) over Chris. -
You cannot defend the indefensible Jeff or The Know!! What I want to know is why the track gurus (teehee) put the shale down in the first place if it was soaked, why not get some more shale in to mix with it?
-
Latest is, we were told at Lynn last week, that he has the medical go ahead to race next brit season. I'm guessing he'll be on the get fit trail all your aussies season?

Chris Holder For Next Weekend's Gp
Trees replied to KrisB's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Cos Holder has proved himself over in GB, on GB tracks of all shapes and sizes and surfaces, Emil has not -
How badly we need tracks the size of White City back here again. So good to see Mr Lee racing again

I bet other GP riders who are probably relying on as many points scored as poss would rather Smolinski were riding though! -
There's more chance of them holding IMG to ransom for compensation than the poor fans!?
-
Oh dear, I keep telling people they shouldn't support IMG! Nah I genuinely feel gutted for those fans who have chucked money away attempting to attend this meeting, apart from a day or so in sunny Germany I guess ............... Funny thing is though all the ribbing the BSPA get for their supposed unprofessionalism and this meeting was organised by the ultra professional promoters IMG and they have balllllllllllllllsed up BIG TIME!

We will Lucky for us he didn't decide to sign for Swindon or Poole
