  1. There's no point in any rider racing in the GPs unless they think they can be WC!
  2. I tell ya man come and sponsor King's Lynn, you'll enjoy ya nights out much more than watching the eleven stale GPs
  3. It's not about who's deserves a place or earns a place anymore though is it .................
  4. £700 a week? That would be considered a very good wage over here for many people. What are people like supermarket, shop and factory workers being paid?
  5. Got a DUKE Powersport magazine through the post yesterday, turning to the speedway section I see no GP DVDs like usual, why's that? But Superheats 2008, Crashes and Cock-Ups 2008, World Speedway Final 1982 and Czech Golder Helmet 2008 ................... www.dukevideo.com for all you who want one of the DVDs I've mentioned ........................
  6. Is this "See Tickets" fault or IMG/BSI? Fancy them letting all you hardcore GP fans down!!
  7. Well of course not, silly me, perhaps I should have put it another way, is nobody paid for their services at BSI/IMG
  8. Probably not, what are you saying then, that BSI/IMG don't make any money out of the GPs?
  9. Well if they don't look back at the disaster the last one was then they must be mad!
  10. Schumi take some paracetamol you have Subedei disease!!
  11. So you're saying that the GP promoters would let the BSPA advertise british speedway during the GPs, in that case get the SKY lot to read out the fixtures for the coming week, good idea! My problem with the GP series is the fact that I don't think a private promoting company should own the rights to it. Yes I would personally like IMG/BSI to fail so that the promoters in the speedway countries could, hopefully, run a series of GPs, not bloody 11 though, and gain through the tv revenue etc for the good of speedway in their particular countries! I know very well the FIM sold the rights and they are the real culprits, blithering idiots! All league fans MUST want their league speedway to carry on, it's essential for the future of the sport and realise the need to get in as much revenue as poss so what the hell are they supporting this private company who are taking so much from the sport and giving nothing back for?!
  12. He's their employee so the buck stops with them surely? Hancock made it quite clear on Saturday, I did just catch the second semi and the final on Sunday morning, gord knows why really, that things are going on behind the scenes in the Gps. Obviously the riders are not happy about the German call off and the restaging at Bydgoszcz, Gollob's speedway training track, when it was their position within the FIM World Speedway Championship at stake on an unfair playground ...................... I'm guessing they aren't happy about the GP in aus either if they aren't getting enough wages to pay them to travel out there. Things for the FIM to sort out obviously ...............
  13. The riders who IMG think will bring in the most fans, and in turn make them the most money, will get the nominations I guess. On another note what did Hans Andersen say last night, if it wasn't for his two good sponsors he wouldn't be in the series, how sad is that eh!
  14. LOL, what u need is less bleeding GPs, too many make it dull "here we go again" type meetings! Perhaps if there were less of them then the youngsters would be able to afford/organise themselves to race in them?
  15. Thing is if they didn't want to dry it they wouldn't have tried ............... conspiracy theory number ?
  16. You laugh pirateandi but if u'd have lost a few hundred quid on the trip to Germany u'd not be so prepared to joke?
  17. So that was the time when they started negotiations with Bydgoszcz then I suspect, why the hell didn't they cancel the bleeding meeting then so the fans could cancel their flights and hotels, might have still been out of pocket but at least no quite so much so. No integrity IMG/BSI .............
  18. It doesn't surprise me in the least that the Star have brushed the German debacle under the carpet. But as long as Phil Rising is involved I guess we can expect nothing else. I, too, haven't bought the rag for ages now.
  19. Odsal was brilliant for speedway imo! Don't forget the Ullevi Stadium, Wembley, Los Angeles Colliseum, Chorzow (largest sports stadium in Poland apparently!) etc
  20. Looks as though the press releases have worked then haha
  21. You mean to say, there are going to be fans attending!!?
  22. To add to the conspiracy theory I just checked in my weekly tv magazine that came in Saturday's local newspaper to see if there were any repeats of the GP on SKY listed for the early hours Sunday or Sunday morning/afternoon ................ nothing .............. how odd ............... did they know something we didn't! Unless of course they didn't have any time in their schedule to repeat the GP, feasible I guess ............... Nobody really knows although I think the private tv companies would have bought the rights to show World Championship Speedway off of whoever was promoting it over the last few years ..............
