They should, at least, all be having practice sessions at Boro so they can get a good set up sorted ......
I remember Crump saying it's one of the hardest tracks to get set up for when you're an away rider .............
Perhaps that might be the stumbling block to the best laid plans? Of course I personally think BSI/IMG should come up with the dosh for all the teams, it's their competition after all ............
I asked Rob Lyon something similar a fortnight ago at Lynn. As I see it, it seems that all the riders have their own tuners and are relied upon to get something good enough sorted for the WTC. As we know tuners keep their cards close to their chest, it's the only way to do business but if the team were given money to have an engine tuned especially for the WTC then surely that would help. It's perhaps worrying that they aren't all going well in Poland though cos having a bike/engine set up for Poland is paramount to their success.
If Ashley Holloway would be willing to share his expertise to the british boys that would be great, it needs to be done now not a week before the WTC though!
Just think if the four major speedway nations had got their heads together against BSI when the speedway world championship was for sale, this is exactly what could be happening and surely all fans and all federations would be happy with that? Plonkers!
Surely it's pretty poor to ask under 21 riders to race abroad for their country without paying their costs at least? Shame this issue wasn't sorted out somehow at the start of the season or when the dates for the meetings were announced
Anything could have happened at any time in the last GP, I don't blame Leigh for taking it easy.
BSI/IMG are taking the pee out of these riders, they are expecting them to race on crap tracks and playing on their want to be world champion of speedway and so accepting anything, and they seem to be putting up with it ...................
I think I'd be looking if I had Nicki Pedersen powering up inside me going into the bend and probably thinking, bloody hell what do I do now, where do I turn, the fence is looming up arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ................ wouldn't you Blazeaway?
Just when was Emil supposed to turn then, he'd got the power on down the straight, the fence was looming up, Pedersen took his line, maybe it was another case of all 4 back mid race, wish more refs would use this option.
What's the old saying ................ what goes around comes around.
I don't think the riders would race on a track like that in their domestic league racing They'll accept anything in the GP league!
I'd have thought "The Know" would have made sure that the GP he sponsored wouldn't be spoiled by a crap track!!
Keep em coming Australia!!!
GB just have to keep ours coming through too though, the GB team manager seems to think there are plenty of good young brits ............... the future is bright
WHEN I, at last, watched the meeting on the tv I thought it was really good, the riders were all so determined, the future for british speedway looks bright
Congrats to the top 3 and well done to all the riders, british fans can be proud of them all
