It's sad that the local fans didn't support this meeting, I hope we get a better turn out at Lynn next week, fans make or break meetings. Perhaps the BSPA would be better off negotiating with SKY to show the meetings on tv then they wouldn't have to rely on fans attending and we would all get to see the meetings

One or both should be able to tell a rider to straighten his bike up surely? I think this tactic causes loads of probs in the first turn.

Oh they can, as everyone knows the result could have completely turned round after the results of two more rides! If it was in the rules then so be it though.

Exactly what we thought about Bjarne! Contrast his gate 4 with Darcy Ward's line from that gate! I reckon start marshalls should make sure riders are pointing straight at the gate not at an angle!

YES, they should be available at every meeting 100%, just like air fences should and a new, reliable way of recording race times but they aren't, so speedway has to take advantage of them when they are surely??

It's like saying that because I might use a brush and dustbin to clean my carpet then a friend brings round her dyson I won't use it to clean because I always get on my hands and knees and sweep ................. ok not a good example but u know what I mean!! New technology, it's gotta be used to benefit the sport, perhaps a better analogy would be that way back when u might have used a bleeding megaphone for announcing speedway, then a wired mic system was put in one of the stadiums but you wanted to carry on using your megaphone cos that's what you always used! ?????? That's not what I saying above though, I just think that ex-riders "should" make better refs, I dunno about Mick Bates, he perhaps blows my theory out of the water LOL I guess they would all referee by their own standards type thing.

It proved last night that riders HAVE to fall to get a decision for or against them which is why Doyle stayed down surely, Kelvin pointed it out two or three times later. Bad refereeing surely and another reason why ex-riders should be referees ..............

But Bryn surely they must use them when the facility is there and change their decision if necessary???

I guess it is testament to Matt Ford that Mark wants his meeting down at Poole, he's sure to get a great turn out. Pity it couldn't be at the track where he spent more years riding at than any other club

Agreed, they go OTT, why?? Are viewing figures dwindling or summat or do commentators believe that if they shout excitedly about the sport then the viewers will get excited too, it's got to be it cos when I sometimes have to suffer the footy guys on SKY on a Saturday they are shouting down the mic too, fgs! Yeah was a decent meeting but I still think I've seen better from there when it was first used as a GP track, Crump alluded to the track not being as good as it is for league meetings .........

Leszno has loads of lines on it doesn't it but surely there needs to be grip to use them? That was another reason I thought of that they showed the Poole v Cov VERY one sided meeting on a slick as track, to make the GP look good! Let's hope I'm talking poo as per usual eh

I like Pairs meetings, might be a good opportunity to check out the new track and see if the Ipswich fans can make more noise than usual
