I think Meridian should sponsor one of the british riders not Hans Andersen!!
-
Actually I'd expect the World Champion not to make glaring mistakes like that one!!!

Sting ........... it's damned odd that every thread on this forum can be turned into a Poole are wonderful thread. Forget your allegiances to the blessed Pirates for once! grrrrrrrrr

Who owes Havvy an apology
Trees replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Obviously Joe knew what he was doing standing down. Havvy rode brilliant clever races, very, very, impressed! -
No, he was the very last person in british people's minds tonight. But surely the light from the camera flashed when only he looked that way, and he made a slpit second decision to stop, the leaders were out in front so didn't see it, Pedersen was behind so didn't ............. tch

So gutted, you got so close, we're proud of you all though, be proud of yourselves. Here's to 2005 ............ I hope the current Team GB are the guys going for the title again, a great, talented, patriotic team Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sh**

Time to go oh Middlo
Trees replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I most definitely disagree with Vincent Vega, our TeamGB have given their all with Mid as team manager, he most definitely must stay as long as he wants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

So Havvy gets the nod
Trees replied to Lanzilla's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I wonder if Screeny should have believed in himself more and ridden in the final. Perhaps he thinks his bikes wouldn't be fast enough, I dunno. Havvy was in great form earlier on in the season especially around Boro so let's hope he reproduces that. Good luck to them all, a win for the english boys would be a huge boost. This group of riders have given us so much entertainment over the years and a WTC win would top it all off for them and us! -
well done AJ+ tomaz wot a meeting

Play offs on Thursday
Trees replied to Lanzilla's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes and Mr Posselthwaite was at pains to say that there were tickets still available. I hope BSI learn from their mistakes if the stadium isn't full for the final, ie staging it right the way down at Poole!! Too true it was last chance saloon, we would have wondered why they hadn't if not!!!! For me the aussies didn't deserve their place in the final from tonight's showing, too many weak links. What was up with Sullivan in his first two heats, atrocious on his home track!!! Poor Boycey just wasn't fast enough, pity they didn't give Travis McGowan an outing, a bit of youthful enthusiasm might have worked wonders. His moves were something to savour for sure. And doesn't he always seem like he's enjoyed his racing when interviewed! The track was terribly slick, I wonder what it will be like in the final, terribly slick I'd imagine!!!! -
So Havvy gets the nod
Trees replied to Lanzilla's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good, the more passion and help in those pits the better for OUR team. I would just love to see them win it ..................... good luck MEN, use ya balls, brain and braun I so want to be down there to support them but know I'll end up behind my tv screen ................ SCREAMIN! HERE'S TO YOU Mark, Scott, Lee, Dave and Havvy!! And thanks to Screeny for helping to get the team through to the final, bloody brill -
Who will win the World Cup??
Trees replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Too right, BSI will make the most money out of the competition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As to the winning team, heart hopes that England have a big say and I'm just gonna follow my heart and not consider the rest! lol COME ON TEAMGB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Wimborne Road Stadium
Trees replied to David_Furniture's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You're at it again Steve, don't forget the beautiful scenery of the Peak District is just a stones throw from Sheffield, I'm sure there are fans from foreign climes that would rather be visiting that part of the country than sitting in bars boozing on Poole Quay!!!!!!! We can ALL guess why Eastbourne and Poole have been chosen by BSI, they are simply closer to BSI's main office is my theory!! Poole is crap for viewing, I have been down twice and haven't been able to see either of the meetings for people's heads in the way both times. I suppose the extra cost of putting up temp seating has hiked the price of entry to the meetings, thanks John, you're a pal -
Funnily enough I saw a boy on a bike the other day that looked a little like old time speedway bikes with upturned handlebars and what looked like a fuel tank. God knows what make it was and it looked new, it could have been custom built I guess, it surprised me for sure!
-
Sounds about right to me SL, aren't they clever businessmen. And you're probably right about the fans being hooked, I know quite a few fans who watch all the speedway on tv but would never venture to a league match. The tv is spoiling the fans, who can get their weekly fix of speedway without ever leaving the house. I just hope that the SKY money is making up for the loss of revenue!

Nicki Pedersen Spits Out His Dummy Again
Trees replied to REAPER's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Perhaps it would be good if you wrote exactly what you mean then, did he apologise for his acting or did he "kind of" apologise? Yep, Nicki is a pretty good actor himself ............. hope we don't start talking about speedway riders like we do about wussy footy players tho!!!! Is it BSI who encourage/demand the "let the viewers know your upset/hurting/annoyed" antics? -
Our thoughts are confirmed then, it worked didn't it taking all the young danes on further in the meeting ..................

Nicki Pedersen Spits Out His Dummy Again
Trees replied to REAPER's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No it actually says Jason kind of apologised so that's an open ended comment. Also says that Nicki thinks Jason is a good actor. -

Yeah it was definitely noted, had mentioned it on yahoogroups before reading your post. Glad others noticed it too!
