  1. What is the top prize? Thought I read that the PLRC winner got a new bike and a few thousand pound or am I having a senior moment
  2. There's probably two reasons: 1) They wanted more money 2) They simply didn't want to do the meeting/had other commitments Probably shows the BSPA that it's a waste of time inviting any riders who don't race here regularly, so forget the idea and look after our own.
  3. Fair enough, Leigh has been a good servant to british speedway when a few in his position dropped the british league or never bothered with it in the first place, he's had his six penneth worth for it though I dare say! Hope you enjoy the day. Perhaps in one way it should make you want to go more, to support the boys who do race over here cos obviously the Big Kahuna GP riders/Polish/Swedish drawcards couldn't be bothered to race for you, the british fans!!!!!
  4. The more they try to please every nation the more of a farce the field becomes, they should all qualify during the year the world championship is, 2011 for the 2011 competition! Turn some of the GPs into qualifiers ..........
  5. To give the injured Gollob more of a chance of winning it perhaps? Gone are the days of the fantastic tracks at Bydgoszcz, not that I'm that bothered of course!
  6. Who did ya want to see in it then/who would have persuaded you to go to it? This attitude doesn't give those riders who can be bothered to race in GB much incentive does it? Not that they probably wanna do the meeting anyways!!
  7. He can be rightly pleased with himself for getting the win surely? 2 in a row is pretty good for an 18 year old ...... No doubt he'll put his thoughts towards Monday night and using his head to win the league with Poole eh?
  8. Good, I'm glad these riders who don't give a damn about riding over here aren't in it, if it's a decent prize (the PLRC winner's prize wasn't bad) why should they have the opportunity of winning it over the boys who have kept the EL going all year .............. and if those who are named don't want to be in it they want to be men and speak up quick so others who do can be given the ride!!
  9. But why down there, doesn't it concern us all? I didn't know it was there tbh! It should be in Gen Discs surely?
  10. LINK Can we discuss this or not? I'd like to know why the mods locked the last thread I started re BOB, have sent messages to quite a few of them and had no reply!!
  11. Was it because Jonsson beat Andersen in their heat together?
  12. A great performance from a proud Tomasz Gollob, first Polish world champion for 37 years, truly deserved.
  13. We decided in this house that Bjerre struggled because of his size/lack of weight. Just goes to show why most televised meetings have slickish tracks cos the schedules don't allow for regular grading/putting mistakes right!
  14. Would certainly appeal to the kids more than that stupid blinking mole!!
  15. Gollob's huge smile well justified tonight, two more to go, hope he wraps it up in Italy and goes to Bydgoszcz and soaks it all up.
  16. On first reading Tayls sounds good
  17. TOTALLY UNFORGIVEABLE!! What's wrong with these blokes??!! There are too many riders that take the fans for granted, no fans no bloody jobs, do they realise that or not??
  18. The GPs coincided with the birth of satellite tv didn't they, certainly since BSI bought 25 years of rights anyway ..........
  19. That's interesting to note, thanks Chris Louis NOT! Seems to me that on the whole it's take, take, take from most top boys, don't they ever dream of giving?? You sure about that? I'm not usually one to moan about too much grading but that guy on the tractor was going round probably about 4 to 6 times with the blade, then 2 or 3 times with the grader and there were no ruts and no shale and it took 10- 15 mins each time! There was a guy from one of the teams came out and tried to find a little shale himself to rake, the actual track rakers were also constantly searching for a piece of shale or two to justify their job!
  20. And why did Len's track man spend so much time grading nothing??
  21. Yeah you're right Lovey I think I'll send em a new one!! Have to say though the young Poles today restored my faith in some riders. After noticing that not one of the riders who fell today acknowledged the crowd whilst walking back to the pits (not that fans expect acknowledgement but it would have been a nice gesture!) these boys walked off the track at the end of the meeting and shook hands, had a word with and had photos with their supporters, totally off the cuff, great
