  1. Don't even think of leaving our stalwart out of the team!!
  2. Depends how the team is built Shovlar!! At the end of the day it's all about supporting your local speedway team whatever league they are in, use it or lose it eh! The Ipswich public will love the variety of opposition the PL offers unlike you in the 8 team EL!
  3. Kevin really should have got rider of the year for 2010, he was the only one to race to his full potential all season. Along with Darren Mallett most of the time.
  4. Of course there is benefit, just having him in the side is a benefit surely? Especially if he proves to be as good as everyone hopes
  5. To be fair we don't know what the arrangement was with Lynn do we, I don't think the Chapmans have ever said that Lasse has signed for Lynn as an asset??
  6. I thought riders were contracted until the end of October?
  7. All I can say from my point of view is that I would definitely go to NL at Lynn if I hadn't been to a PL meeting. I'm guessing the only way this could happen is if the amount of PL meetings was cut down and that won't happen. If it happened now and again during the season it would be good though.
  8. Ermmmmm nope .......... why didn't ya say something? I'm thinking you might have been standing with Bagpuss at some point, who was standing behind me?? lol
  9. It's the only way to get a decent crowd for NL, on a week with no PL! Most people can't afford to do both in a week but are happy to support their local team at both levels. It got blinking cold but it was good to witness a few riders I hadn't seen before. Obviously Buxton were too strong for the Young Stars overall. Buxton man of the match in the first leg of KOC, Garrity, clearly couldn't get his starts sorted, in fact his gating in a few heats could have caused crashes! He sure let his frustration get the better of him in the last race too, chucking his bike and helmet down!! It seemed to me that Cal McDade's crash was caused because of a bit of tough riding in a previous race between Branford and McDade, shame Hope Cal's injury isn't as rumour had it! Craig Cook showed his talent after a poor first race, let's hope his career continues to go fast forward What colour hair is he gonna have next, stripes
  10. The local organisers take the gate monies and money from food outlets, anything else?
  11. Hmm looking forward to tonight, should be a good turn out. Good luck to the Young Stars!
  12. Crikey there must be summat in the air, the Lynn floodlights went off the other night too, they did come on again mind after a few mins, it was a bit worrying after that in case they went out again whilst the riders were racing but someone thought of a novel way of lighting the track though!
  13. Great for Buster and family to have secured the gig again, well done them.
  14. But u can go see the stockcars Rusky ....... not quite the same eh
  15. As you know the answers, how many MILLIONS of pounds do BSI/IMG pay the FIM every year for the privilege of running the GPs? How much money does BSI/IMG make every year from running the GPs?
  16. Haha what a farce, even more reason to have qualifiers!
  17. Maybe, at the end of the day, there is quite a bit of rivallry between these two, I mean they both want to be Poole riders next season don't they? Forgot to add my moan of the night, that once again I, and most other fans I'm guessing, were disappointed with the majority of the riders not coming round on a victory lap, isn't it all part of their job whether they want to do it or not? Yes the fans are there to watch the racing and get their monies worth from that but in this particular meeting the majority are there to support their team representative and want to salute their sucess in races, don't the riders get this? Another 30 seconds to ride round on a victory lap really shouldn't make a difference to their bike prep??
  18. Not bullrubbish but a misunderstanding re the line up perhaps? Isn't it time something was done about close finshes, whether it be on SKY or a live meeting the system doesn't work It's not fair at the end of the day!
  19. There was a pretty good crowd for the meeting which the BSPA must have been pleased to see! I thought it was strongly contested and there were quite a few "bl**dy hell that was a close one" moments as you always get at Peterborough. Such a shame Bomber didn't win it, he had to really push it in a few races to get his points which was great from our point of view, no doubt he would have liked to have got them ftg lol Freddie chose the best gate though after Bomber picked gate 4 from first pick, obviously a mistake on Bomber's part, good watching him trying to make up ground on Freddie though especially coming out of the 4th bend wooooooooo. Congratulations Freddie, who does his British club and British speedway proud every time. The semi was a fantastic race with the lead changing between Bjarne, Bjerre and Holder. Being a bit of a Holder fan I was disappointed that he didn't make it to the final but I couldn't see if he was "robbed" or not from the 2nd bend, he certainly put a big effort into getting there though whatever the outcome. I was close to the clever move that Bjarne made on Holder coming out of the 2nd bend lap 3 I think, messed him right up and put him back to third. Glad I went, racing at the Showground is fast and full on and when u have a line up of riders on a par it's the ingredients for some jaw droppingly good speedway haha
