  1. Not many tracks/promoters do, King's Lynn only have them cos they have to do this operation many times during the season to accommodate bikes and stock cars. In Terry's defence, I doubt he ever imagined he'd have to be taking "wet shale" off an "aussie track" ............. when was the last time that happened ......... ever????
  2. Troy had to take his exasperation out on something .......... better his bike than those around him eh
  3. Of course you can, would they cheer for you racing for TeamGB against a Swedish team if they were fans???
  4. http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/aus_s..._bikes/messages Look on the aus yahoo group on the link above for a few more details.
  5. Interesting indeedy Deks, you'll have to come down to witness the battles! Rather glad that Chris plumped for Isle of Wight rather than the EL.
  6. Pity Anth hadn't got his coverage over the net sorted, would have LOVED to have watched this meeting!!! Awwwwwww shame! Thanks for the updates!!!
  7. April 11th at Swindon ................... anyone know if it will be televised and are there any other test matches organised against Australia, Denmark or Poland perhaps?
  8. Should be a bloody good meeting, I'm jealous!! Good luck to the lot of em especially those with Lynn connections!!!!!
  9. By the look of the pic in the Speedway Star Terry Poole has a motorway blade just like King's Lynn have, perhaps he did not have a digger and dump trucks to remove the shale from the track??
  10. Enjoyed reading the Scott Autrey and Castagna (love the choice of language Armando! hehe) articles, can't remember all the riders covered but I can them
  11. Had to share this one, just read the article on the Gillman speedway website about Leigh's 9th aussie title. Gone is his title of "the rider from Mildura" he is now dubbed, "The Mayor of Mildura" http://www.gillmanspeedway.com/release.asp?NewsId=17722
  12. I guess you can understand the younger riders being anxious about riding in iffy conditions as perhaps they have never had to race in such conditions, there's only one way to gain that experience though and of course there is always the choice of throttling off? The meeting wasn't called off with only 3 riders complaints though was it, surely if the majority said they would go for it then it would have taken place? Such a shame after all the planning and what has been such a positive series so far.
  13. Put him off 15 yards then, just so you can watch him work his way to the front, that would be worth the gate money alone I joke of course, I hope he does get his 9th title, it'll give one of the youngsters a record to aim for
  14. Come on make Mr Clean work for his 9th!!!! Has anyone looked like having the beating of Leigh?
  15. LOL, perhaps they had a hint of it before they set their date perhaps?
  16. Yeah go on Sir, better still, you take it so Bryn can be in it too, and anyone who you can persuade who's had connection with King's Lynn in the past or present
  17. Please don't forget that pic Bryn, one glaring omission I know , but it would still be special.
  18. Nothing would please me more, apart from being able to turn the clock back 10 days and changing things, than JP working WITH British Speedway for the good of OUR sport in THIS country!
  19. Even I got one, I haven't been since the 2nd year and won't be going again until things change, that'll be about 20 years time! Delete me from the list BSI!
  20. Owwwwwwwwwww Bryn, you are naughty ............. I guess you two ought to get someone else to take the photo as you should be innit too. And if Mick Poole, Stephen Davies, Glenn Doyle and Steve Regeling happen to be about perhaps you could squeeze them in too! lol Oh and Martin Rogers and John Berry (for contrast ).
  21. Thanks very much Lawrence and Bryn. Summat else that would be popular would be a group photo of the riders with King's Lynn connections, you're both taking a camera aren't you
  22. Hey Lawrence, is Shane having a DVD made of his meeting? It's full of King's Lynn and ex-King's Lynn riders so would be a popular edition to all Lynn fans collections!
  23. For tourism, see Norfolk, beautiful coastline, beaches galore (hosted the World Water Skiing Championship this year!), Yarmouth (second to Blackpool in greasy spoon resorts - if you like that sort of thing - the very old wooden rollercoaster is special though), sail out from Wells or Blakeney harbour, the Broads, Nelson's birth place, Norwich City Centre (top 5 in the country for shopping facilities, nightclubs galore, cathedrals, castle, museums, cinemas, dine at Delia Smith's restaurant etc), unspoilt countryside, preserved railways in all shapes and sizes, forests (go-ape is fun, trekking), concert/gig venues, dry ski slope (yes we have our very own "mountain ) etc etc etc and a speedway at King's Lynn ............ obvious choice!
