It crossed my mind that Scott was thinking when the hand came out to be shook "**** *** I'm not shaking your hand after that move!" lol Why some people think Scott should show sportsmanship after a very unsporting manouvre I don't understand! Normally the riders shake each others hand when they have had a good clean race, showing respect for one another, impossible in that one!

Bsi Ticketing Policy

£25 for a child, CRAZY!!!!!! and unfair ............. -
Just watched the move on tv, was standing right there where it happened on the exit of the fourth bend, Hans most 100% definitely turned right to errrrr "block" Scott, live there wasn't an inch to spare, how Scott didn't collide with Hans I dunno .......... I wouldn't want to shake hands with the crazy guy after that, hand on heart who would ......... Melchitt ???????

It doesn't help one jot that the track staff are only allowed on the track at specific intervals during the SKY coverage either does it, IF the track needs it they should be allowed on after every heat imo!!

Reading Semi-final
Trees replied to Private Dancer's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Really glad I went to Reading even though I had to endure a busy M25 and M4. There's nothing like being at a meeting, watching on SKY is good but not that good! The stadium was fine, viewing good (most important!), track ok for a few heats but dried out VERY quickly, clouds of dust billowed over the fans on the bends because AS USUAL the track staff were not allowed to keep on top of the conditions, that annoys me so much, on a sweltering day that damn track needed watering very regularly, can't possibly allow enough time for that ........... that would never do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so bad that when Ulamek fell off you literally couldn't see him for dust and I was only standing on the exit to the 4th bend! All that really mattered on the day was that TeamGB qualified for the final, they rode out of their skins, really put themselves out, great to support, great to see! I wish them all the best for the final, if nothing else we know they will be giving it everything! A little mention for Billy Janniro after he'd held off our public enemy number 1 (deserved imo ) to have that ef, just shows what he can do doesn't it!!! Also Tomas Gollob, GREAT to see him back in this country and very glad that he won the last heat, when will we see him do that in the UK again eh?! -
Scott Nicholls
Trees replied to Squirelnutkins's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If Scott felt that aggrieved with Andersen he was right not to shake his hand, who the hell wants to shake hands with someone who could have just maimed you!!!! From what I saw at Reading the brits were riding out of their bleeding skins, they want the win as much as we want them to get it 100%, well proud of them. -

World Cup Meeting 2 @ Malilla 18/07/06
Trees replied to crazysue's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
*Well that meeting didn't have the same meaning to me as Sundays but there was some good, brave racing for sure! *Was nice to see the americans in the shout again, liked their kevlars, typically american or what!!! *Janniro kept his composure well when the camera was on him, well done Billy ......... *The captain's job obviously suits AJ as he was totally focussed on the job. *Adrian Rymel put the cat amongst the pigeons in his races, shame he didn't score a few more points! *Didn't you just KNOW that poor old Ermolenko was gonna fall off, was it his first or second lap when he found himself on the deck?!! *Yep, Millard keeps repeating himself and makes loads of booboos, must be a little embarrasing for him IF he watches the coverage over?? *Can't believe that a Swedish track had all those technical difficulties, tapes and flood lights ............. unheard of!!!!!! * What would Nicki P do if someone sabotaged his air blower thingymy? * WHEN ARE THEY GONNA HAVE A CAMERA IN LINE WITH THE FINISH, for gord's sake, those replays at an angle are hopeless!! * Is Mr Chris Louis gonna be racing for TeamGB on Thursday, he deserves it! * Love this competition ........... -
We made a decent fist of Rybnik on a slick track, our boys are well experienced and know what's needed for the slick, they CAN race on anything chucked at them, GO FOR IT TEAMGB!!!!
-
But we have a team of "big boys" as you call them ................
-
Hmmmmmmm, it seems to me in speedway there is sooooooooooooo much more to being a winner than meets the eye, I'm damned sure the british boys have the determination but if the total package isn't perfect and luck on their side it just ain't gonna happen. It won't be through lack of determination that they lose imo (if they lose!!!), I doubt very much they are happy being also rans at times but it can't be any use beating yourself up over what could have been, you HAVE to look ahead ........... Look at Leigh Adams for instance, a wonderful rider, everything in place, but can he make it happen for himself in the GP's, bloody no, Tomasz Gollob, another great, same applies.
-
I don't call their attitude defeatism personally, more realistic, they'd look right dicks if they talked themselves up to win and then things didn't work out, we should just be happy with the knowledge that they are MOST DEFINITELY giving 100% effort, want to racing for TeamGB and doing us and themselves proud! To be fair no rider will say, yes I'll go out and win easy do they, you can't do that! The main thing is they believe in themselves, the authorities are giving them the back up needed and that they do what's necessary on track HERE'S TO TEAMGB on Thursday, GOOD LUCK!!!!
-
Yes give Trav a chance!! Must say I totally enjoyed the coverage from Rybnik this morning, what a flipping shame that the track wasn't prepared as well as it could have been, would have been a GREAT meeting!! Some fantastic moves made by certain riders throughout the match, a mate said to me Gollob must race with a cork up his behind ..... hehehehe Look forward to tomorrow's meeting and CAN'T WAIT for the RACE OFF and final .............. speedway supporter's heaven this week!
-
Been out tonight so haven't watched the meeting from Rybnik but to have three teams within a point of one another means it must have been an enthralling meeting! 7.30 am repeat for me! So here's a trailer full of good luck for OUR TEAM GB on Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, Outrup, don't ever miss your footing there, ok for sheep!! Di and I will never forget the camera man .............. LOL, help here he comes again! Great meeting for the brits -
Lynn just had it's one set of wooden slat boarding but Shooting Star and I certainly stood right against it on the 3rd bend in the late seventies, like you say, ducking at the last minute ............ never once thought about how much danger we were in, and never once did a rider have a "moment" so we had to evacuate ............... born lucky I guess
-
Hope you're right m8, Chris scored 16 from a possible 18 at Eastbourne tonight, he's on fire!!

Trees replied to Dave Stummings's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So right Sue, as a fan I couldn't give too hoots if the track was in the middle of field as long as I could see the racing, amenities are very low on my list, it's the racing that counts!! -
Yes, Great Britain for instance, preferably King's Lynn

Here's a little info I've found: How to reach Udine Udine is located in north-eastern Italy. It can be reached by car (motorways A4/E70 and A23/E55), by train or by plane. By airplane There are two main airports serving the north east of Italy: Venezia (Marco Polo airport) and Trieste (Ronchi dei Legionari airport). Most part of the good international connections are throught the Venice airport (IATA code VCE). From this airport you may easily reach Udine by train using the closest railway station of MESTRE. MESTRE railway station is connected by bus to the Marco Polo airport (ask for the bus to MESTRE, not to Venezia, piazzale Roma). There is a ACTV bus (town transport service - orange) to and from Mestre railway station, every 30 minutes. Journey time: 25 minutes approx. Tickets: inside the arrivals hall. There is also a ATVO bus lines (out of town transport service - blu) to and from Mestre railway station, every 20-30 minutes. Tickets: ATVO box in arrivals hall. Both the ACTV and ATVO lines provide bus service to Venezia (piazzale Roma). From Mestre railway station there are several trains to Udine, on the main line Venezia-Vienna. Trains run almost every hour. The journey takes approx. 2 hours. Some trains require supplements or seat reservation. For more information on Venice airport and connecting services check: www.veniceairport.it For train connections: www.trenitalia.com. The nearest airport to Udine is at Ronchi dei Legionari also known as Trieste airport (IATA code TRS). Routing is mainly through Milano, Roma. From Trieste airport you can find two bus services connecting Udine. One is a direct shuttle bus available in connection with main flight departures and arrivals, with few runs. Departures of this bus from the airport are in connection with the actual arrival of the flights. It will stop you to Udine railway station or at Piazza I Maggio, near the tourist office, marked as Air Terminal on the map. The second bus service is the Saita line for Trieste-Udine-Trieste which also stops at the Airport. It runs from 6.01 a.m. to 11.16 p.m. (approx. every half an hour ) but there is no service on sudays!. In Udine it will stop to the bus station which is in front of the railway station. Journey time is approx. 50 minutes. You may check bus and airplanes schedules at www.aereoporto.fvg.it By train Udine is served by the railway that links Rome to Vienna through Firenze, Bologna, Venice. Two trains reach Udine each day in both directions. From 8 am to 8 pm trains link Udine to Trieste-Gorizia (and thus to Eastern Europe) almost every hour and to Venice (and thus to the rest of Italy) every other hour. To check timetables and train categories, visit the Web site of the www.trenitalia.com. The Website of the German railways www.bahn.de is also useful. Remember to stamp your ticket before taking the train! By car Highways A4 and A23 link Udine to Austria towards the north, to Venice and the rest of Italy to the west, and to Trieste to the east. Drive on the A23 Highway towards Udine/Tarvisio and turn right on the ramp at sign reading "Udine Sud". Continue on Tangenziale and go Northwest for 2.0 km. Turn right on ramp at sign reading "Fiera". At traffic circle bear left. Continue following the "Fiera" indications. The Congress is located on Fiera. Have you had a look at these on the following link: http://www.steinternational.com/z_fotogall...-2005/index.htm
