I, too, miss the regularity of the PL BUT it does give up all the chance to support the Young Stars, with Kerr, Rose, Mallett and young Lambert in the side, it gives us locals a chance to support our own as such :-D Not that the rest of the team deserve any less support but you know what I mean! You certainly do get the feeling in the EL that it is just another team, just another track, just another country but then it's down to the promoter to instill importance of OUR club into the riders as well as the fans doing their bit too . .

King's Lynn V Buxton 5th June 2013 7.30pm
Trees replied to rhidassa's topic in National League Speedway
I certainly didn't expect Robert to win every race last night, just wanted to see him race full stop! Surely most people felt the same? I'll say it again that it's so good having so many of the team being local boys and with so much potential :-D Congratulations on the Stars going to the top of the league!! -
So nice not having any of these gripes and worries, just don't go :-D
-
When you say it's "our" national event, who is "our"? It has no affiliation with british speedway at all!
-
It sure is bsamann, look forward to seeing the boy, seen him race on the net and ride round a grass grand ring at Marsham, looking forward to his debut on his home track
-
Darcy would surely appreciate a decent track to race on!! He's not gonna get it any time soon at Poole!!
-
I don't suppose the riders will criticise the hands that feed them too much . . .
-
That's a surprise, you might as well be eh!
-
Let's hope it rides ok, that's the main thing now!
-
Phil is their media rep isn't he or something of that ilk?
-
Wahey put up the flags!!!!
-
Quite! He's on a par with N Pedersen for me! However clean he might perform I don't forget his moves of the past!
-
As long as it's NOT Fisher!
-
But gustix, surely the words quaint and speedway don't go together, well I don't think they do, nor is it old fashioned unless he refers to every sport as old fashioned, football, cricket, snooker, darts etc etc ............
-
I'm not slamming him, just want to put him right in his thoughts about speedway, show him it's not what he thinks, don't you agree? I said in my first post that he reckons he'll go again so that's good Surely journalists should always be embraced by clubs, if they come out with the right words they could do wonders for the club!

Could A Barry Hearn Type Be Good For Speedway?
Trees replied to msc1874's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well if the renown IMG can't get their product any tabloid coverage then I dunno how a Barry Hearn type person will do it!!! Having said that if someone could market the riders, give them nicknames, hype them up, play certain tunes, get them into character and do the same with the fans, how great it was to hear the fans at Berwick getting behind their team, singing, hyping the meeting up, making atmosphere . . Lynn is a morgue compared to that, we're like. mice unless there is a decent race and there ain't many of those in a meeting eh! -
Yes of course, didn't know that was why the pits are where they are. I might do as u suggest re google earth! I certainly don't think bloody quaint is a good word for our league speedway, get that journo on a bike, he'd find it far from QUAINT!!!!! Come on Brum, do what u need to do to put the bloke right!!!!

Ludvig Lindgren (he's Fine Before You Worry!)
Trees replied to SCB's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Priority to BSI speedway! -
Well he enjoyed it enough to go back, hope he wasn't joking! I like the presentation at Brum, they get their fans going, the riders respond to the fans and vice versa. There are two things I dislike about Brum, where their pits are, pity they aren't on the 1st bend so they aren't completely closed off to the public during the meeting and of course the viewing with only half the stadium open to the public!

Chris Harris Cardiff Wild Card
Trees replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As it's their competition and nothing to do with the BSPA, why didn't BSI announce that Bomber was the Cardiff wildcard back in October when they made the decision? -
The thing that is sad is that Mike seems to have no long term connection with Lynn :-(
-
He's already done that or was it Alan Littlechild All depends eh
