  1. On the other hand it could have been a dry, cold, autumn night which would have made for a nice, grippy track and some great racing!
  2. Ok yep disappointing meeting racing wise but sure as hell not disappointed with our 2 Lynn riders, both wanted to win and so they did :-D. Rory absolutely determined, great to see and sooo chuffed with his win over the World No 3 who wanted the win pretty badly too, next year Niels and hopefully representing the Stars again!!! Was surprised with the track staff, if only Buster had been in control, if nothing else from the BSPA conference all promoters need to agree to lessons in track prep!!!! Thanks to the BSPA for their gesture to us fans because of the quality of the meeting, £5 off any BSPA meeting in 2014?
  3. Yep, no World Champ at the ELRC, he's in America with Monster, it's on the BSPA website ........... real shame eh!
  4. I totally agree Starfever but loads of effort has to be put in to organise an end of season meeting, I guess our promotion don't want the hassle? There are so few people do all the work, the Chapmans keep it in the family and with the football to sort too they just don't have time I guess! Shame! I dunno m8 :-/
  5. Get the Aussie riders to do some race commentary, love it lol
  6. Poole would do well to get some sponsorship from SpecSavers then, encourage their fans to get their eyes tested eh :-S
  7. Er I thought NKI lived in East Anglia B-) Must make him a honorary East Anglian ;-)
  8. So no Niels but we can have Darcy, huh? Thought Darcy was a GP rider?
  9. I really hope Tai will be at the meeting, the BSPA better not let this opportunity go for us all to congratulate and cheer on our World Champ and the World No 3!! As long as Tai is ok of course!!! Someone get their open top roller/Ferrari/lotus out
  10. Tai's tattoos are special to him as all tattoos are to their owners, it's what he says and how he acts that will mark him out as a great champ as opposed to an ordinary one imo ......... so far so very good Tai
  11. I'm sure the clever ones amongst the promoters could sit down and re write the rules so no "bending" could exist, the trouble is they probably don't want to because it would do away with their advantage!
  12. PL for Eastbourne then? Been there, done that, had a great time
  13. Surely there's a simple answer, MORE ACTION and MORE EXCITEMENT required! Better riders, more incentive, better prepared tracks, more practice for away riders, more passionate crowds (err that'll be lessons from the Dudley fans ha) . . . ???
  14. I'd like to see Leicester come up, the EL NEEDS more teams, more variety, good for SKY, good for the fans B-) Should mean more meetings, I'm from the weekly speedway is best brigade and full season long too! It's been good supporting our Young Stars too of course!
  15. I can remember reading somewhere that this was Matt's plan, to come on strong towards the end of the season, seems to me he did his level best to win at all costs at all times this season not just at the end though :-S
  16. It was GREAT hearing the support the Dudley fans were giving their riders and the response back from them! Takes me back to our PL days at Rye House and these days at Peterborough ha Just hope you get a stadium of your own back one of these days!!! I knew the guy who nearly got run down was a VIP as he was carrying the trophy, he should know better!!! The BSPA certainly need to come up with a new rule to stop people walking across the track when riders are celebrating, Peter's near miss was not the first at Lynn this season!
  17. I'd personally prefer the GP series to be over less rounds because I think less is more as a fan, every 2 weeks is too much. Of course with BSI holding the rights and wanting to maximise their profit the more rounds for them the better, it's like a league in itself to the riders! Have other views but I'll keep shtum!
  18. If my team's manager had tweeted what Middlo did I certainly wouldn't be sticking up for him, he's guilty!
  19. Congrats to all concerned with the Heathens, too strong for the Young Stars....... pity we couldn't keep the team riding going for the full 4 laps in the last heat to nick the win on the night Just wanted to mention the near miss that happened on track following the last heat and would like to suggest that people crossing the track with riders still riding round on victory parades just should not be allowed, seen this sort of thing happen lots of times particularly at NL level where perhaps rules are a little lax? Let the riders do their thing, it's their stage, what a disaster it would have been if the guy'd've been hit!
  20. Is Bob gonna improve your track over the winter?
