  1. You won't find Leigh on the deck very often cos firstly he's a very controlled rider and secondly he doesn't take risks (can't blame him for that though) which is why he won't be world champ.
  2. Perfect time to cut down the number of GPs then cos if it's qualifiers and then 11 or 12 GPs!! zzzzzzz The qualifiers will be the best meetings anyways. Come on FIM cut em down to 8 or less!! What you mean like, no sponsors, make a loss? ha
  3. Or one could ask, what aren't these riders doing for British Speedway, they are either not riding to their capabilities over here or they don't feel as confident on british tracks as they do swedish tracks?
  4. The GRA own a few but they are all owned, apart from Poole I think, by private companies and/or individuals so would definitely not qualify for council grants, that's how it works over here afaik. You'd have to be a charity or suchlike to get help. I guess Terry Russell still takes a cut out of the SKY money but he also puts some of it back I think, how much each club gets I know not but they do gain from it, the EL clubs at least.
  5. Do you know who owns most of the british speedway stadiums? Do you know that british town and city authorities pump NOTHING in our speedway clubs? Do you not think the promoters have tried this, do you really think these sort of companies would sponsor a relatively small speedway club with 1500-2000 fans? The rules keep changing because of the poor situation of the sport over here, if british speedway was in the same circumstances as Polish Speedway there would be no need to chop and change to try to even out teams etc etc ................
  6. Where did that money come from then? I'd agree with the SKY money going to training but the EL promoters would have to cut their cloths accordingly and that wouldn't go down too well with the EL fans or riders now would it??
  7. Where's the investment coming from then, first they need millions of pounds each to buy their stadiums, so they're finished before they start!
  8. Speedway doesn't get the backing or have the facilities available in Poland, it's just a fact of life.
  9. They should win everything given the way speedway is set up in Poland, they have EVERYTHING going for them don't they??!!
  10. Exactly Sward and I haven't made a contribution but I will ................. so good to have the service!
  11. Yes I agree with parsloes, you are wrong because within a team the team members do help one another at the expense of their personal glory, it's part and parcel of team speedway. You've been bereft of team speedway so long you've forgotten what it's all about Jeff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should come to Lynn if you want to see a team performing in the pits and on track ..............
  12. No excuses now then Looking forward to hearing the coverage on Radio Fremantle, that reminds me they need dosh!!!
  13. Yeah certainly considering it, after all I'll be up at the hospital anyways (Mum ;( )
  14. But SGP suits older, more consistant and experienced riders, especially with so many rounds, those who have a comprehensive back up team, loads of sponsorship etc ......................... it's no wonder the youngsters can't compete!
  15. That's the truth Sube, white lining it every inch of the way haha, Jan sure knew the shortest way round every track ................... Makes me laugh though that they let Olsen do what he does to the tracks especially Bydgoszcz, you'd think they'd want the GPs to be classic meetings!
  16. Oh dear it seems like the GP organisers need these young riders more than the young riders need the GP series
  17. I hope IMG are taking on all costs this time round then, are they??
  18. Jan bloomin Andersson, Mr # Name Removed # himself, he was my husband's favourite rider at the time, couldn't stand his style lol No just one among many really. Most fans don't go for the GP they go for the social interaction of it all anyways, would be interesting to see how many attended if the Millennium Stadium wasn't in the middle of Cardiff haha
  19. Again Bydgoszcz not as good as it could have been. But who cares, obviously not the organisers!
  20. Another entertaining meeting by the looks of it, well done to the aussie boys ......... all square! ps Can Lynn have one of these meetings next season please
  21. And Kozza Smith! Good luck to the brit boys, keep up the good work!!!!
  22. Sounds like a real entertaining meeting, can Lynn have one next season please
  23. Chris has made all the right moves to suit him and his career so far (and he'll ride for Lynn one day of course hehe) so if this is his decision regarding the GPs he's probably right again
