Hello Hello Whats Going On Here Then?!
Trees replied to speedy den boy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Pic 16 makes me glad I watch my speedway in GB! -
This young man you mean Mungo, ex King's Lynn mascot Go for it Steffen!!
-
Scotland will always be part of Great Britain Snyper, there's no getting away from it, you're british just like the rest of us haha
-
Who mentioned anything about anyone getting excited about the photo shoot, for my part I started the thread simply because they look smart and it's perhaps a small starter to helping put the great back into TeamGreatBritain ................ we/they have to start somewhere eh! If speedway is for some part a mind game then it's so important to be positive, if the riders feel positive vibes, read positive comments and hear positive remarks from the fans it's got to help them to some extent? You'll never hear an aussie slagging off one of their own and the same should go for us shouldn't it?
-
I totally agree Snyper that it's what they do on track which means the most BUT, the photo shoot, the getting together, the feeling of unity, is a small but important part of the plan
-
Take a look HERE .............. looking good!

Current Crop Of Young Aussies
Trees replied to whowasthatberntpersson's topic in International World of Speedway
Would it be possible to make teams up of the riders in a club, if it's all about learning to team ride etc wouldn't that be good enough? -

Hope he's planning to have a ride out at Lynn?? -
I'm guessing he praised the track cos at least it wasn't dangerous like the previous one, Ole had got summat right for a change
-
It's just not his year is it, poor lil Nicki I have to admit to wondering whether he stage managed that pick up when Emil went into him, he would have known Emil would be flying round the outside, all went a little pear shaped if so and there did seem to be a rut where he picked up too ......... what an evil mind I have What a daft thing for one of the commentators to say that because Scott won his last race he'll be winning at Cardiff ........... what are they trying to stir up??? Yes it's a major breakthrough for Scott given his terrible form this season but come on, he's got a way to go yet perhaps??? Just a little gripe, WHY DO THEY INSIST ON PRESENTING SPEEDWAY RIDERS WITH BLOODY FLOWERS, for gord sake, do they present F1 drivers or Moto GP riders with them on the podium, no, so why our boys, it's embarrasing, the old tradition was laurel wreaths round their necks, much more manly than a bunch of bleeding lillies or better still the trophies would do! Yes of course I watch the GPs, gotta get my money's worth from SKY after all!! And you forgot that Red Bull drinks straw thingy, why not drink out of the can, he looks a bit silly with that tube stuck in his mouth ................ but there ya go if it's all part of the deal then he's gotta do what he's gotta do!

Congrats to Jason on his win on, at least, a track without ruts this time .................. shame Emil tipped the tapes in his semi ................

Possible Location For New Track In Ireland
Trees replied to barncooseboy's topic in International World of Speedway
Yeah it's in the International section, really odd how there's a mod to do this sorta thing but all the trouble there was with ExGen and it was ignored, unless there's someone come to the fore since that, I dunno! I agree though, motorcycling in Ireland is or has been very popular, loads of road racers, so perhaps they'll take to speedway big time ..................... -
Perhaps they are looking at the bigger picture, who knows.

Trees replied to Edward Barrett's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well obviously they need their bikes tuned for Peterborough, that goes without saying! -
World Team Cup: Team Makeup.
Trees replied to Edward Barrett's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
They should, at least, all be having practice sessions at Boro so they can get a good set up sorted ...... I remember Crump saying it's one of the hardest tracks to get set up for when you're an away rider ............. -

This is the decider surely? -
Just trying to keep the hand that feeds them sweet perhaps
-
Are the riders handsomely paid by the promoters?
-
Perhaps that might be the stumbling block to the best laid plans? Of course I personally think BSI/IMG should come up with the dosh for all the teams, it's their competition after all ............
-
I asked Rob Lyon something similar a fortnight ago at Lynn. As I see it, it seems that all the riders have their own tuners and are relied upon to get something good enough sorted for the WTC. As we know tuners keep their cards close to their chest, it's the only way to do business but if the team were given money to have an engine tuned especially for the WTC then surely that would help. It's perhaps worrying that they aren't all going well in Poland though cos having a bike/engine set up for Poland is paramount to their success. If Ashley Holloway would be willing to share his expertise to the british boys that would be great, it needs to be done now not a week before the WTC though!

Fim Team Under-21 World Championship
Trees replied to PhilK's topic in International World of Speedway
Surely it's pretty poor to ask under 21 riders to race abroad for their country without paying their costs at least? Shame this issue wasn't sorted out somehow at the start of the season or when the dates for the meetings were announced -
The Decline Of Leigh Adams
Trees replied to geeze's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Anything could have happened at any time in the last GP, I don't blame Leigh for taking it easy. BSI/IMG are taking the pee out of these riders, they are expecting them to race on crap tracks and playing on their want to be world champion of speedway and so accepting anything, and they seem to be putting up with it ................... -
I think I'd be looking if I had Nicki Pedersen powering up inside me going into the bend and probably thinking, bloody hell what do I do now, where do I turn, the fence is looming up arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ................ wouldn't you Blazeaway?
