But we all know Sweden and Poland are set up differently from British Speedway (if only the short sighted men who started the sport here had set it up differently!!), I thought promoters wanted more meetings to justify their rent, hence going back to two home and away?

I can totally understand that the riders are committed to all their teams, in this case Coventry must be allowed to have guests for their missing riders to make the fixture attractive to the fans!!!!

Don't forget that the fans are spending their money on DH too! But what I mean more than anything is that promoters and fans need to come together for the future of the club, they need each other, they sure as hell don't want to get to the position Brum is in today!! All I read is Hemsley is losing fans hand over fist cos he doesn't see the problem with the track that they see, it seems he is fooling himself being so stubborn?

You'd think after all these years Eastbourne would be like a billiard table, it's a south coast problem ha!

Woodward just blamed the state of the track on the stock cars, it being wavy, sounds to me that Bob isn't doing a job to get rid of them!! Lynn is smooth and we have stocks all the time! They want to grade it more often than every 4 races on the night too :-(

After what is happening at Brum perhaps Hemsley would be well advised to listen to the Lions fans!!!!

Shame Phillips didn't get into the old speedway betting, he could have saved the club maybe ....

The GPs could easily have put people off going to league meetings IMO in three ways, 1) because league mtgs aren't the big event that GPs are obviously 2) people save their money to go to GPs rather than league mtgs 3) people want to see all the top guys racing against one another which they don't get in league mtgs In what way were they asked to get involved? Of course the GP series stops riders racing here cos basically it's like racing in another league ... The major change that would be good for British Speedway would be to race on a set night or nights imo

Obviously the debt is a problem but how great it would be for Brum to now become community/fan/council owned.

Yeah it would be great, shame that it's BSI's baby! I just hate the fact that we have this private company running the show, stops me attending this and Cardiff now :-(

The thing with promoters is they should only see themselves as custodians of a speedway club, I know it's a little different for Hemsley as he was instrumental in Leicester starting up again but hopefully when he's old and decrepit Leicester Speedway will still be going. The least he should be doing is telling these stay away fans why he can't/won't do anything else to the track! Fans can support a club for a lifetime but a promoter very rarely does! Come on Hemsley get these people back on your side! Racing can be processional at Lynn as it can everywhere if all riders aren't competitive but you'll know if the potential for a great race is there cos u will have seen it, has anyone seen a great race at BP?
