  1. Nah I wasn't there, whatever next, I dunno why you get so upset about my postings
  2. I want to see the dead oppposite and no antics from Pedersen, just clean racing would do me and plenty of it!!
  3. Oh come off it, Holder and Ward excel at most tracks so it doesn't matter if it's in Poole or where, the worst thing about it being in Poole is it's bloody 6 hours drive away from me Come on Buster, can we have one
  4. Surely they have to be concerned about their own car parks cos if they don't get the fans in they shut? If our stadiums were owned akin to Denmark, Sweden, Poland and I guess Russia then british speedway would be in a better position I think. I was disappointed to hear the brits say again that when the track went slicker they went backwards, surely they need to work out how to go forward and concentrate on gating technique, is it rocket science? There is probably something in the weight of the rider factor too ......
  5. It's down to the fans to make the british final what it used to be, bring the pride back!!!!!! Bloody Cardiff would be a just little bonus on top of being THE BEST BRIT!!
  6. Perhaps BSI/IMG don't need one to make a profit?
  7. Yeah, the weather certainly spoiled this meeting. They'd also had practice on it earlier so that didn't help the surface one bit. But who can take anything away from the Aussies, they were gating brilliantly on the whole and passing when required, they've probably rode in similar conditions in Aus loads of times!! MJJ and MBJ did the majority of the damage for the Danes with MJJ making a clever pass or two along the way. For us Brits, the day didn't start good with Richie Worrall being wrongly excluded from heat 1, couldn't believe the ref, he (the ref) certainly didn't receive any applause whatsoever when being presented with his "momento" of the day at the end of the meeting!! Most of the boys tried their best, sometimes over tried, up to probably heat 10 they kept in contention with the Danes for second, we then had a bad run of 5 races and so ended up after that 12 points adrift from a respectable 5 after 10. Joe Haines was particularly poor, any one know what was wrong with him, his first race 0 was awful, he looked tentative or as though he didn't want to be there, which one was it? The poor old Czechs had an awful day, I should think their heads dropped to their knees. Their only win in heat 14 was greeted with cheers from the crowd though, little consolation. I guess they now know what they will be up against if and when the come over to this country to race! One or two little things I noticed about Lakeside, as it was the first time I'd been, tiny track in a bowl with stock car track on the outside, a swop of the two would be good , plenty of viewing area, 75% deck chair brigade, mind you they had the last laugh, the ground was as hard as hell on the posterior! I felt the whole stadium was uncared for though, everything was grubby and one of my first impressions was of the errrm, what should I call it, rubbish tip perhaps, behind the fencing on the 1st bend, stuff chucked/stored behind there, the two flags that had previously been on the flag poles which were yesterday adorned with FIM and Union Jack flags just laid there, why didn't someone throw them away, as I said, uncared for, people notice the little things, well I did anyways. The positive was how the track staff attempted to keep the dust down on the track, they watered very well before the meeting and tried in vain during it, nobody could fault them!! One other thing, the programme, what's all this A, B, C, D gates instead of 1,2,3,4? Also who was responsible for not setting the racecard in the middle of the programme, not a good move when a fan hasn't got a prog board and keeps their programme in their hand when applauding the riders = riiip!
  8. Are they mostly works riders who ride in the World events though?
  9. It's crazy in this day and age that the FIM don't pay enough "wages" to the guys competing in the competition to cover at least their costs!! Mind you the same applies in the GPs let alone this!! Nevertheless congrats to Richie in particular, his brother and Tom Perry for making the effort all worthwhile for themselves, so good to see a brit do well abroad, hopefully they've made another sponsor sit up and take notice of them eh!!
  10. I may make the effort to go to the Lakeside meeting to support our brits, look forward to it Good luck lads!!!!!
  11. Can they not do something about it, does Stead have to hang off his bike like he does, it looks crap. Do they not analyse their styles and try to correct what they do wrong, is that impossible for a speedway rider, that maybe the reason??
  12. How wonderful for BSI/IMG that there are guys like Bill Buckley out there.
  13. I guess they did what they said they'd do, it must have all been in the contract? Seems to me he was prepared to take the risk on the meeting and ultimately the hit.
  14. The global sport, you mean the SGP don't ya? I'd have thought he's gone into this deal with his eyes wide open, if he ends up with a hefty bill it's down to him alone.
  15. This wasn't my "moan" haha, twas my husbands, it wasn't a moan either, just an expression of surprise. I did attend the first two Cardiff meetings and a few WTC meetings, got caught up in the hype, before I thought about it all properly.
  16. Well if you don't understand why then that's a shame. Multi world champs at that, obviously they mean nothing to world championship speedway supporters now ....... oh dear!
  17. My husband definitely expected the great New Zealanders of the past to be presented to the crowd on tv and interviewed too.
  18. Correct, nice position to be in eh! Rely on revenue from the supporters of the event etc ............
  19. Various people have said this for years but it's still going ....................
  20. That's what us British Speedway fans have to hope for out of this "Monster" announcement ......... as Greg Hancock would say Does anyone actually drink "Monster" then .................. how can they keep sponsoring motorsports without any sales?
