  1. As long as ANY wildcards are allowed in the competition it'll remain farcical to some extent!
  2. That's what makes them top riders, finding the secret to double figure consistency B-)
  3. What promoters posted on here, there's only a couple I know of and only because they posted under either their own or an obvious name. Re spelling mistakes, if they're posting press releases there shouldn't be any!!! It's on of my pet hates from PRs to programme notes, no excuse really!!! The trouble is for promoters is that things are not always done by the book, sometimes they can't be and they can't post admitting it!! BUT there are many instances where they could post things that would interest the fans, riders likewise!!!! At the end of the day it's all about public relations which surely needs to be good
  4. Good post SCB! I totally agree that the promoters need to embrace the internet more and get in and explain stuff before the fans start asking! And hear what ex fans are saying, they're the punters they need to get back! As for Bryn telling people to talk to promoters, it's not so easy to find the right time and place to do it on a race night, it's easier to put things on here! They should be happy that busy people bother to care about their business, enough to spend their precious time on here!
  5. What ideas? Anything that we haven't already discussed on here?
  6. Away riders must never ride mid track at Poole ........... and if they gate go tight as on the 2nd bend or out wide in the dirt which is NEVER pulled down from the outside of the track ...........
  7. Really liked the helmet cam footage, best rider's eye view we've ever seen surely?
  8. I guess it should have been Freddie, his manoeuvre was the reason Vaculik fell . . . Yeah I got into it in the end after feeling indifferent for starters :-) Was good to see Laguta, oh er!! A few things need brushing up on One Sport!!!!
  9. FIM don't give a flying fig it seems as long as these companies are paying them money, we wondered what would happen if there was a rival to BSI, looks like we are now gonna see ............... I wonder if these two championships could end up like the two darts comps where some players never meet .............
  10. So the result would have been ................... Denmark 40, Poland 38, Aussie 30 and Czech 12 without the joker, proper result eh!
  11. Couldn't Kelvin and/Or Havvy put on some sort of training classes to impart their knowledge during the season? Re the SWC, I still reckon that the promoters of the competition should help out the British boys if they want them to have more success . . . the situation has changed since the days of the comp being co-run by our speedway federations and the FIM (I'm guessing that's how things were organised?) . . .
  12. 9 out of those 16 riders race in the UK B-) As all the Aussies race over here I'm supporting them :-D Hope Niels has a great meeting too of course but can't bring myself to support the Danes as a team. I'm expecting the Danes to win though . .
  13. Isn't the answer to do away with jokers and tacticals, it is the final after all?
  14. So the promoters of the SWC should put some money into rider development perhaps???? Do they care how TeamGB perform?
  15. There's always been British fans who support the country of their fav rider, it had to be 90% of the crowd at Lynn were TeamGB fans though!!! B-)
  16. Didn't take me long to get off the field, 10 mins perhaps, I didn't rush off as soon as the meeting was over though!
  17. Surely practice shouldn't have taken place on the track on race day, how on earth was Buster supposed to produce a great track after all those laps had taken place on a baking hot day??? Re the GB team, Eddie has never gone well round Lynn, odd pick! Having said that surely all British riders of any quality need to be able to race well on tracks like Lynn? What's the point of being the master of somewhere like Lakeside when the majority of European tracks are huge, fast tracks?
  18. Farce in heat 19, Watt saw red move and expected a restart ........... ref is not very consistent!! And what kept happening to Kelvin and Nigel, sounded distant at times or was it just my tv?
