  1. Tai's tattoos are special to him as all tattoos are to their owners, it's what he says and how he acts that will mark him out as a great champ as opposed to an ordinary one imo ......... so far so very good Tai
  2. Surely there's a simple answer, MORE ACTION and MORE EXCITEMENT required! Better riders, more incentive, better prepared tracks, more practice for away riders, more passionate crowds (err that'll be lessons from the Dudley fans ha) . . . ???
  3. It was GREAT hearing the support the Dudley fans were giving their riders and the response back from them! Takes me back to our PL days at Rye House and these days at Peterborough ha Just hope you get a stadium of your own back one of these days!!! I knew the guy who nearly got run down was a VIP as he was carrying the trophy, he should know better!!! The BSPA certainly need to come up with a new rule to stop people walking across the track when riders are celebrating, Peter's near miss was not the first at Lynn this season!
  4. I'd personally prefer the GP series to be over less rounds because I think less is more as a fan, every 2 weeks is too much. Of course with BSI holding the rights and wanting to maximise their profit the more rounds for them the better, it's like a league in itself to the riders! Have other views but I'll keep shtum!
  5. Congrats to all concerned with the Heathens, too strong for the Young Stars....... pity we couldn't keep the team riding going for the full 4 laps in the last heat to nick the win on the night Just wanted to mention the near miss that happened on track following the last heat and would like to suggest that people crossing the track with riders still riding round on victory parades just should not be allowed, seen this sort of thing happen lots of times particularly at NL level where perhaps rules are a little lax? Let the riders do their thing, it's their stage, what a disaster it would have been if the guy'd've been hit!
  6. So Greg expected there was foul play!!! No smoke without fire!!
  7. Halsey went over to Lewis and seemed to be apologising profusely, Lewis being level headed listened to him and then Halsey walked away. I think it was a fan and Lewis Dad?? who squared up to each other but riders were fine . . ish!
  8. Meetings against strong teams are always good, need to make sure all teams are strong and keep them strong, easier said than done!
  9. The crowd only looked good on tv cos the top two tears of seats were darkened, I don't blame them for doing that mind!
  10. Yeah agreed was really pleasing to be watching some good British boys doing battle B-) How do Hagon Shocks pick out the boys they want to support?
  11. But SGP is run perfectly in your opinion?
  12. I doubt any rider falls without it hurting a bit .......... I'd like to think that no fan would cheer because a rider has hurt himself but because their team gets an advantage out of it ........
  13. Well done Chris, so good of you to help Bryn out :-) He owes you that bottle of Bundy he was saving ;-)
  14. Great to have the support of Philip Rising NOT, you stick to bloody SGP man, they pay more for their coverage in the Star no doubt!!!
  15. You can usually tell if a crash is a bad one and fans don't usually cheer cos the rider himself has crashed and hurt himself but because their team has got an advantage. Re the family standing beside you, they have to take it as banter and as above, if they want to stand within the speedway crowd they have to develop broad shoulders! I know we'll always have to agree to disagree on these points
  16. We know that Philip, it's British Speedway we care about!
  17. Glad to hear the op was a success!! Hope his stay in hospital doesn't get him down too much and he's up and about asap!!!
  18. Of course Boxall's experience won it for him, how many laps has he done round Rye House??
  19. Watched the coverage this morning, poor Tai, jeez, but hell, that's one tough dude (no I have no American blood) Just want everything to go right in Torun!!! On the other hand massive for Iversen, good when he's wound up isn't he haha, I'm sure he can make that bronze his in Torun if not nick the silver off Hampel .............. what a year for our (Stars) number one, just hope he's racing back here in 2014!
  20. well that won't do British speedway any good as such will it, only BSI! If British speedway could win some big sponsorship package on the back of Tai's win now that would help British speedway!
  21. Tai was def on 5live this morning, taped I guess . . .
