My Father in Law, Geoff, was nicknamed Pymar after Geoff Pymar, his fav Norwich rider, in the days when EVERYONE you talk to of a certain age either walked, biked, motorbiked or bus'd it to Norwich Speedway :-D ✴
Adam Allott (gate like the wind but if not .....), Bo Brhel (not in his last season), Leigh Adams (never quite doing enough for the big prize! but hell was he wonderful to watch round Lynn), Kozza Smith (the feeling of will or won't he stay on, has improved though :-) ), Daniel Nermark (for his first/second bend antics) and last one Michael Lee for cutting his career short!!!
So riders I dislike have made a connection with me, so it's gotta be riders who I find boring or who are easily forgettable . . . Dunno I've forgotten them :-o ;-) I guess I'll go with the flow and say Hancock does nothing for me for one . .
BSI/IMG certainly don't seem to be able to get speedway press coverage in the tabloids, you'd think such a huge company would have good media contacts/hold some sway?

Oh come off it, the World Championship always has been and always will be a different ball game to league racing as far as attracting crowds goes. As a meeting though they do nothing different to league promoters!
The only good Cardiff is to British speedway is "maybe" to encourage some of the attendees who don't attend British speedway anymore (and there's quite a few - day out, atmosphere etc) to keep watching it on tv! Great innit, what a wonderful thing BSI do for our sport :-P

I think the GP series is one of the reasons that some of the top riders don't race here, it has as many meetings as a league itself!
I think having the girls teetering about in their heels, blowing kisses and pouting is a bit old hat now, think of something else they can do to wow the cameras!
And even if sports do have millionaire backers and multi million pound tv deals (footy etc) they still don't lower the entrance prices!!
Of course promoters could give better value to their customers, there's plenty of things that could be done that cost nothing much apart from enthusiasm, time and effort.
I certainly know of plenty of people who watch speedway on the box but would not go see it live! I have a few asking whether the BEL is gonna be on TV or not this year, difficult to answer!!!!
