  1. The smell could be sorted immediately if only Castrol R was allowed to be used mmmmmmmm The atmosphere is up to the fans I guess, fans are either noisy supporting their team (Cradley) or indifferent (KL at times)! But promoters could attempt to encourage the fans more by a good, speedway loving mic man for starters!
  2. So what would get our young people to speedway? A good, cheap bar and music with speedway as a side show on TVs?
  3. Watched it tonight, good prog, he clearly loved his life in Aus and it will always be the life he eventually wants, which is what I have thought about him always. Total daredevil, all speedway riders are aren't they lol. His Dad was his mate and mentor, never thought anything different, and his death affected him deeply, good that he has such a strong relationship with his Mum :-) Nothing surprised me, Tai was great in front of the cameras from day one, just like Holder, totally relaxed and natural. He must have mixed feelings over the old Aus v GB thing although he's set out his stall for us now and is doing a great job, World Champ and possibly on the way to another! The Aussie boys will always be his mates, he was brought up with them!
  4. I'd be rolling in it if I had all the money I'd paid for British Speedway over the years! Lol. Got my money's worth most of the time ;-)
  5. So what's happened over the years to our speedway, old promoters have sold all the best stadiums off for housing/development. The first promoters of the sport didn't put British Speedway onto a form footing, they just treated it as a money making show and when the crowds started to dwindle they cut and ran! So now what's the answer to all that's gone wrong in the past? Of course the promoters need to work harder, the riders need to do their bit too, that's what their conferences should be for, to share some great ideas to increase the popularity .......?????
  6. So how is British speedway going to persuade the councils to buy all the tracks up, redevelop them akin to the Polish tracks and then get big business to invest in them? Then get all the youngsters to attend in the local areas? Is it all about the love of their home town/city clubs for the fans in Poland or is it because of the cheap booze and the atmosphere? Or perhaps a combination of everything?
  7. Depends if he has that pride in his local team or not!! :-) I might go have a look at a Polish league match but I sure as hell won't care who wins!
  8. In 1950s\60s GB!!No comparing Poland to GB, we'll see how things are in 20 years time there!! I guess if our promoters had huge council owned tracks and rich sponsors they could encourage the youngsters to come to our clubs for next to nothing and chant, sing and drink. One thing they couldn't do is make our young people care about and have pride in their local club like they seem to do in Poland!!
  9. Yeah I would have got rid of the pair of them!!
  10. Read that Cookie has been getting some set up advice off Nicholls, he rode well at Lynn this time so Scott has done him some good!
  11. All the speedway nations ruling bodies need to have a meeting and put ideas forward to change things!!
  12. No, Nicki has said in that reply to Holder and Hancock that he knows exactly what he is doing with his bike all of the time, so make of that what you will!
  13. I definitely won't miss Jack, he's awful, hasn't improved one jot!!
  14. He says he knows exactly where he's putting his bike, oops!
  15. In normal circumstances I'd say I hope the company who bet the most get the coverage because it means more money for speedway and the riders but of course it won't work like that as the shareholders of IMG will benefit only!!
  16. Has anyone ever seen Nicki apologise or own up for a crash being his fault?
  17. Clearly Gundersen is bias, he doesn't mention Nicki's kick out at Zagar on track .....
  18. I'm personally not gonna miss Nicki, I don't see him as a character just a menace to everyone on the race track with him! Makes me angry cos he can race cleanly, I've seen him .......twice ;-)
  19. We want less GPs, they mess with riders' heads and finances. In a sport where league racing is so important to the future of the sport the World Championship shouldn't be so incumbent imo ...And it wouldn't be if it wasn't owned by a private company. 20. I guess because Zagar was very lucky to not break his legs when he crashed? So glad some people have seen that Pedersen is NO pantomime villain, he really is a bad on track, but what comes around goes around!
