Agreed re the FIM, and I guess if the federations who take on these meetings are daft enough to, they deserve all they get if things go wrong.

It's got to be brought up from time to time so fans can understand how ridiculous the situation is! And how BSI are feeding off our leagues for nothing.

I do think the mic men could encourage the fans to make more noise, they need to be totally bias and show their emotion and perhaps the fans will follow ☺ Promoters need to really work hard to find someone who has a connection or can make a connection with the fans and riders come to that. They need to be speedway fans, passionate, funny and clever.

I haven't seen a big splash in any tabloid or on the BBC before Cardiff, for instance.They run a basic meeting, parade, music, heat announcement and results, interview with the winner. The difference is they have larger audiences who go to the meetings full of expectation and excitement, they have great riders racing who are giving it their all on their very best equipment ..... because this is the speedway world championship. I don't see anything different unless those blow up helmets count lol

And they sell sponsorship for the event? ☺ Or does BSI take that and of course their tv rights money? You are both so helpful ☺

Agreed re the programme, if Buster doesn't want to have any input into the programme, don't bother at all having a column. It's a pity that whoever produces the programme doesn't proof read it better too. I'm personally sorry Buster doesn't have more input on race nights, we like to hear and read about his passion. Did Matt mention the Rider of the Night from the meeting before as voted for by the fans on the Internet, can't more be made of the accolade?

Re the track grading, I'm sure Buster did as much grading then as he does now and surely it's all part and parcel of speedway!

You both must be at that awkward age, Semion and SL ;-) What you are saying SL is that you want Buster and Rob to put an average team together who struggle to win meetings? I think back to our great PL days when there was great team spirit and all the fans loved to see these boys doing the biz home and away. We had bitter sweet times with the loss of Ash Jones, it meant so much in 2006 to win what they could in his name. Why can we not have that same passion about our team that we did in the PL days and 1999, 2000, 2001 .... I guess it's just a few people on here aren't really bothered anymore, there are plenty who are :-D

Yes but many don't bring them to evening meetings! Not many riders race for their local club either so friends probably don't attend. How many cars race in a banger or stock car meeting?

Oh Phil Rising, I wonder what your opinion would be on everything BSI if you weren't involved with them .....
