  1. But why, does Buster like this stuff, surely not? Or is it cos it is dirt cheap and he can make the most money out of it? I can understand that he wants to maximise his profit, don't think I will have a lapse again though ugh! On a positive the drinks are okay, Cadburys hot choc mmm
  2. It's a basic requirement and should be a standard for BEL! No excuses that tracks rely on volunteers, it is NOT their fault one jot, at the end of the day the promoter is responsible.
  3. Go try the away riders showers VofR, hot or cold?
  4. That reminds me, I had a hotdog at Lynn a fortnight ago, it was gross, whatever possessed me to I dunno! About time Buster bought in some proper sausages and good butcher's burgers to feed to the public!!
  5. Sound bloody disgusting, what's wrong with these promotions!
  6. Who cares, not me, if this is the way you want speedway to go and do away with league speedway, just keep on supporting this company who don't support speedway as a whole, unlike all the clubs\promoters in this country. Creaming off the top!
  7. Yep pretty disappointed, it was just about all ftg (just like Lynn) and the track was slick\patchy. But well done to the Hammers, Richard Lawson was awesome, Boxall impressed as I thought he might ....... My other observations from the meeting were, us Lynn fans were as quiet as mice, the commentator whispered our riders' names and shouted out the names of the Hammers before the race. Jon Cook got on the mic as usual after the meeting and eloquently said his bit which was great, love the music Lakeside play, love the flags around the stadium, the official Lakeside hats etc are ummm is the word "fresh" LOL and it's bloody high time that the BSPA start fining promotions for not providing decent showers for away riders, this is professional speedway not Sunday afternoon amateur grass track in the middle of a field, that's £200 fine for Lakeside and the Chelsea of British Speedway, Poole IF I had my way (that info re showers was tweeted by our numero 1 BTW). Onto Wednesday and let's hope it's warmer!!!!!!
  8. Actually looks quite bright and no rain woohoo!!
  9. Of course it ain't but if u're against a poor team then it's something to watch! Positives and all that! I'm sure as hell not gonna complain about our boys racing so good, we all know if u have a good team then be prepared for some big wins!
  10. You cannot appreciate the speed on the TV in fact imo unless u are on the straight with the guys whipping past the boards u can't at the track either, I say this cos that is just where I stood Tuesday whereas I normally stand on the first bend.
  11. I know exactly what you all mean about processional racing as I watched the coverage tonight on TV. Luckily I saw the meeting live so was close to the action, seeing how fast the riders are racing and of course willing my team onto the win. You cannot appreciate on TV the speed these guys are riding their bikes at, how little time they have to make decisions, how hard they hit the deck when they fall off etc! There is NOTHING like live speedway, particularly at a track where u can get close to the track ☺
  12. Perhaps the track is good and the riders are too, takes something special to eke out a pass 😉 When they do, it is something worth seeing at the speeds they are racing, get and stand on the straight and you will see what I mean, wow!!
  13. Something I do know is that we need to support him rather than make any rash judgements .....
  14. Leicester will hope Troy is racing in it mind!
  15. Oh dear that ain't good, Doyle surely won't ride in it? If he does then one can understand why the BSPA are anti!
  16. To end any confusion my real name is Theresa which some people pronounce Trees..a hence Trees, I am female lol
  17. Buster doesn't "do" the internet as far as I am aware but Marc Gent does, dunno if presentation is his job as well ...... to be fair I thought Matt tried harder last week. The fans must do their bit as well, standing on the terraces as quiet as dormice doesn't help the atmosphere either. Last week was just so cold to do anything much so let's go from tomorrow ......... Tell you who I think needs to get on the mic a bit more and that is Buster, he is respected by most fans and they want to hear what he has to say ..... he could inject enthusiasm into the club more than probably anyone else!
  18. Imperative that everyone has their pecker up bloke 😊Come On The Stars!!!!!**** Wuss 😉
  19. Christ we've had a couple of meetings this season ONLY, one a testimonial and one a cup meeting and people are bemoaning the atmosphere, what is wrong with everyone!!As for going to the Sky meeting, there are some that prob never go to them anyways and probably the freezing weather last week will make people think twice, Emma? I do think that the management need to make the fans feel valued and involve them in the club, taking them for granted will not do!!
  20. I felt so cold! Surely this is a league meeting and everyone will be up for this? Hopefully it will be warmer too, it was literally too cold to enjoy it last week. You know what, if we aren't up for this season then nobody will be! I think when the Stars line up at the gate in the first race I reckon we will all be up for it and willing them on, just you lot wait haha!!!
  21. Sky should pay enough to make Sky meetings a tenner entry, but I guess they don't!
  22. We must give a little thought to the track staff who cannot go get a hot chocolate or have a wee when they like 😉 Now stop all that lack of enthusiasm stuff, your wife is bringing you down to her enthusiasm levels LOL Hi Jenna 😉
