  1. Well I never, the riders looked as though they'd been up a chimney after the meeting lol
  2. A little F1, MotoGP, darts, skiing, snooker, gymnastics, all sorts I guess at times.
  3. Wasn't it a mucky old track, looked like old style cinders lol
  4. Because u haven't given them your computer programme yet 😉 You shouldn't be wondering, can't you get someone to ask and put the answer in the Star! Perhaps they could inform the BSPA member of Shawn's software too!
  5. He obviously wasn't happy with his performance? Must be a while since he has scored so low in Poland ... but as they say you won't keep a good bloke down! Weren't too clever at the Tarnow/Gorzow meeting either, no fans at all on the back straight/3rd bend!
  6. Why don't you ask the questions of the promotions/those in the know, and put the interviews in the Star? We would all be interested ☺
  7. I thought it was quite an entertaining meeting on the other hand ha
  8. Peterborough lol yeah all they seemed to do was grade the very outside of the track where all the heavy dirt was piled up and most of the riders were having problems if they got in it. Instead of moving it round the track which I know our ex trackman Huggy would have done.
  9. Some tough racing on a difficult track, enjoyed it.
  10. Agreed re the FIM, and I guess if the federations who take on these meetings are daft enough to, they deserve all they get if things go wrong.
  11. Farmers Guardian, shouldn't that be Farmer's Weekly 😊, wish I had the land and money some of the farmers round here have! We'd have speedway in Norwich then 😁 And yes there was a page on Tai, forgot that ... that was a one off!
  12. It's got to be brought up from time to time so fans can understand how ridiculous the situation is! And how BSI are feeding off our leagues for nothing.
  13. I do think the mic men could encourage the fans to make more noise, they need to be totally bias and show their emotion and perhaps the fans will follow ☺ Promoters need to really work hard to find someone who has a connection or can make a connection with the fans and riders come to that. They need to be speedway fans, passionate, funny and clever.
  14. I haven't seen a big splash in any tabloid or on the BBC before Cardiff, for instance. They run a basic meeting, parade, music, heat announcement and results, interview with the winner. The difference is they have larger audiences who go to the meetings full of expectation and excitement, they have great riders racing who are giving it their all on their very best equipment ..... because this is the speedway world championship. I don't see anything different unless those blow up helmets count lol
  15. And they sell sponsorship for the event? ☺ Or does BSI take that and of course their tv rights money? You are both so helpful ☺
  16. Re atmosphere at the meeting, did those who are complaining make plenty of noise? There are too many people who just stand, watch and enjoy without outwardly showing emotion, MEN! It's all your fault as always ha
  17. So the PZM are paying for the hire of the stadium? They pay Olsen to prepare the track, do they take the takings from the fans entry?
  18. Lewis will come good, he seems to have got himself sorted at PL level so only a matter of time. I wonder what damage Ash did to his machine after the meeting, expensive or not?
  19. Agreed re the programme, if Buster doesn't want to have any input into the programme, don't bother at all having a column. It's a pity that whoever produces the programme doesn't proof read it better too. I'm personally sorry Buster doesn't have more input on race nights, we like to hear and read about his passion. Did Matt mention the Rider of the Night from the meeting before as voted for by the fans on the Internet, can't more be made of the accolade?
