I was there, Ken was giving plenty of effort but you had to get the 1st/2nd bend right or nowt. He tipped the kerb in his first race whilst in third. He certainly gated in 7 but couldn't make it stick coming outta the 2nd bend against the very fast Nicholls and Zagar. Gated off 4 in 14 and made it stick. Ah well, must say I liked the way the whole BV team came out into the crowd after the parade truck stopped at the start gate to walk back to the pits, loads of fans took the opportunity to talk to the riders, kids to get autographs and photos ....

Must be the only one who thought Sky didn't overdo Darcy's return. I was interested to see CLouis pick out Darcy's racing techniques and throttle control although of course none of us are daft enough to think he's the only one who does these things. Also was interesting to hear what Kyle Newman had to say about him too.

Yeah I'd agree with that but there are so many little things they could have done to make the year special all the way through .......

Apparently there is gonna be some sort of "event", date to be announced soon ..... Re the 50th anniversary, I would certainly have made more of it, it's the Golden year, I have now questioned Mark Gent about the programme hardly having mention of the 50th year on the front cover, his response was that if they mention it too much it would take away from the planned event. How long has he been a fan, how does he know what is important to those fans who have attended the stadium since way before he was born? He only has to read this forum to know how disappointed people are with many aspects of the promotion at the moment. I would be taking this displeasure very seriously because I think people on here care about the club and are a pretty good representative group.

Perhaps they should put a laser across as well as the tapes because what annoys me is when a rider gets a great start but has to be pulled back cos 'he must have moved to get a start like that!'

The old tac sub rule saw reserves miss out on their races, that's not right surely? And cost the promoters extra money. Current rule much better with only one chance of tightening the meeting.

They need to go over the water then, nobody of that name racing over here!
