I don't care either tbh but it would be good for the fans who attend, having said that with the GP system it's certainly not a given that the last round will see the rider win the thing as such, only that he will be crowned .....
I always thought a World Championship meant it involved riders from all over the world not that it had rounds staged over the world .....
Wouldn't it be nice for the UK fans to be able to see a World Champion crowned in their own back yard .... shame this will never happen again whilst BSI hold the reins.
But if it never happens they'll be in great company and never forgotten. Most riders are better thought of for their club exploits than their WC campaigns. Just look how Darcy's clubs' fans are supporting him at this time, that's where the love comes from.
Thought it probably was so BSI would definitely want two Swedes in to get the people supporting the Stockholm event. The money has to come from somewhere eh. Unless it's a BSI event ......
Sam Masters was great when he last guested, of course Doyley can ride his home track well if it ain't wet and Lambo I'm sure will do a good job ..... We just have to hope BV lose at Wolves tonight, they want it bad so not so sure they will fail.
But it might be that if any Swedish sponsor is gonna cough up the readies for BSI they will want Swedish riders in it of course ...... that's how it works innit?
When doing the SKY deal I would make sure there was a series of play off semis dates in case of bad weather etc, so if the first lot of dates couldn't be met then the next could be. Then alter the league finishing dates accordingly ..... win win .....
SKY can't be that chocker with football to not be able to put Speedway on the red button or whatever ....
I can totally understand that they perhaps want to put some sort of intro together for the meetings but there would be time.
The GP boys don't fly out to Aus until October anyways so there shouldn't be a prob in that dept??
The BSPA should have done what was best for British Speedway re our play off dates, having these matches without our top men on Wednesday is not best!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don't have to have been a World Champion to be remembered with respect though ...... there's a massive list of riders who never were World Champs but were talented and great all the same ....
I'm just sad that Emil isn't racing in the UK regularly so we can show our appreciation and enjoy his talent!
I bow down to everyone's historical knowledge, I admit to saying what I did not through my knowledge of history but more through what I imagine life was like under as a communist country compared to this country now, I'll ask next time instead of talk out of hand ....
