No hope for Speedway unless we go backwards perhaps ..... laydowns came in seemingly overnight so I'm guessing uprights could be brought back 'overnight'. Same with material on the tracks ..... those in charge the world over need to do something .......

I'm talking about how the game of football has changed, still 11 players, still a round ball, off side rule still the same, 90 mins of play, shorts still the same length as 80 years ago (hehe), I'm saying it's only the stadiums\pitches that have changed for the fans. Are the perfect pitches better as far as the action is concerned? (serious question).

You could say that about football though, apart from the modern stadiums I guess .....

Crazy, they should only take the heats against second strings into consideration at least ..... if not they're not compared to the rest of the team. And no way should they've had their high starting averages .....

I thought that paid points had been done away with? If not yeah riders should always look to team ride, the fans love it They ought to practice it tbh

Mates of mine (live in town and been fans for donkeys years) run the track shop at Worky for the love of it, not for the supporters club, last time I went up there it was all housed in a lorry container. Because their meetings are on Saturdays they always get loads in their bar, including riders and put on a big raffle in there (guess this is supporters club run and the takings go to a different rider each week I believe), weekends make all the difference. All clubs do something different, as a fan it would be great to be able to at least have an organised bus\minibus to away meetings, not so difficult to organise now with text\twitter etc if the meeting is in doubt.

I encourage everyone who goes to Lynn to watch one race from the starting straight close to the start of the first bend, you will then appreciate the speed the guys are racing at, just do it

cos it gets too far out and makes racing more dangerous I would've thought. U don't want one line racing either.

The man-on-the-mike is now a very, very important person to the meeting, he must be totally tuned into the meeting and the fans, he must be intuitive, bias, interesting and enthusiastic ..... have all of our clubs got these people?

Of course it means a lot to the riders, it's the pinnacle of their careers, adds to my disgust that IMG own the rights to our sport 😕

I don't want to see riders making mistakes I want to see them being able to take different lines to race one another, if that means putting more material on the tracks then why don't the promoters do it? Cost, moaning bloody fans cos a deep track takes more grading? I haven't seen a rider do a proper cut back at Lynn for ages, I dunno if that's the bikes, riders or the track?

We want them to be making mistakes don't we ...... NOT!

Totally agree with that, certainly worth a try .....

You need that passion for your team too, then you feel the effort that is being put in, also stand on the straight as close to the racing as possible, takes my breath away every time, the speed, the vulnerability, wooooooo

Re the TV meeting, my worry is that Swindon are working their averages so the meeting wasn't a 'proper' competition? With the advent of the playoffs we've seen this loads. I haven't seen the meeting at all I hasten to add!
