  1. Someone needs to find the answer to make modern day speedway more exciting than it has ever been. Very, very controversial but the only thing I can think of is putting riders off handicaps. The problem with this is it makes the sport more dangerous for the top boys. Other than this tracks need to be altered to make passing easier .....
  2. Everyone knows this is the answer but how to sort it?
  3. Anyone interested in watching the play "Daredevil rides to Jarama" .... it's on at Diss High School on Thursday 9th February ..... https://www.thecornhall.co.uk/shows/dare-devil-rides-to-jarama/
  4. I think it's the racing, it is too processional, fans want to see good racing, it is exciting, makes a great atmosphere and fans will tell their acquaintances, the knock on would be obvious ....
  5. Telling Coventry fans to go support Leicester if they don't come to the tapes is like telling King's Lynn fans to go to bloody Ipswich, NEVER ON YOUR NELLY!
  6. I reckon Holder will beat them both hahahaha
  7. It's all the racing though, I must be old hat, I just need a terrace, a decent mic man and tannoy and some great racing
  8. Polish fans on the whole walk or tram it to their big stadiums to support their town's team racing on bloody great tracks made for today's bikes. They go with a determination to have a good time after having a few beers before hand, ready to chant and wave their team onto a win, no interviews, extras or anything, simple as that, how many British fans can say the same?
  9. Hope this never happens, can you just imagine the uproar and disappointment of league fans if a rider was gp reserve/next up, a pukka GP rider gets injured during early season so ya team is buggered up as ya top man has to swan off to the GPs! And nobody else wants to race here that year ..... The GP series is great for the top guys and a goal for up and comers but it haven't benefitted speedway as a whole. How many young people/people full stop have watched the GPs on the TV then started supporting a league team? How many new sponsors have come into league speedway because of the GP series? All I see is the series take and take and give nothing back.
  10. I wonder if the would consider adding Norwich or Lynn to their venues, may ask all parties ..... no harm eh!
  11. Troy is in a better place this year, may see some of the Troy of old 😊 I hope he will enjoy his year with his fellow Aussie mate ....
  12. Take ya point MB, would certainly be a long term investment and no, not the answer for the Bees 2017 of course ....
  13. Did you not know that your council tax is made up of payments into a few different pots? Use your imagination .... the stadium for other sports similar to the Adrian Flux Arena at Lynn, the club room rented out like any social club room, Christmas Fair (as in rides etc), part of the car park could be used for tennis courts, floodlit 5 a side football, basket ball etc, all sorts ...
  14. IF the council decided to compulsory purchase the site it could be used for loads of things to benefit the community ... I was talking about the site not the club but of course I would hope that they would rent the stadium out for speedway ..... as a Councillor myself albeit not having any experience of compulsory purchase, I do know that to raise monies in a area an amount may look massive but when divided between all council tax payers .....
  15. How many households in the area? How much would it cost each household to pay for it. Sometimes when shared out these things don't cost too much at all ...
  16. The "Barry Hearn type" would have to buy them out of course ..... He would only ever be interested in the World Championship, that's what he does, promotes the best not a league or owt .....
