I agree with you SL, transponders would be a better judge of riders moving at the start I would've thought....

We just don't do race commentary in the UK, I thought I enjoyed it but it's only good if the action is good, if not it's rather repetitive, like the racing basically. In Darcy's meeting from Australia they had a sponsor (100%) which they mentioned most laps, that wasn't the best to listen to but I know why they did it.

If many riders now feel keeping fit and eating right helps them be better riders then so be it, who are we to question them? Of course they also need to give thought to the sport and what they can give to it to entice fans to watch them. I do wonder if they ever think like this or simply how they can maximise their earning potential from the sport full stop?

They had lay downs in 2000 when our track had tonnes of material. Riders were able to take more lines on our track then.

More shale required ..... riders can do more with more material as long as it is dealt with properly imo.

100% agree with all you say above. Niels is a club legend. As Chris Holder is to Poole ...... I thought, but no, they've dropped him just like that for flipping Kasprzak, unbelievable.

No, there's potentially lots of reasons you would chose one rider over another, certainly not just because u think they are a better rider.

Definitely good enough just not ruthless enough imo.

We have lots of continuity at Lynn And if it wasn't for the bloody Poles we would've had even more continuity for the coming season

I think that is up to the individual ....... why doesn't Sheffield put on a meeting every year to benefit Ricky, I'm sure riders would be up for it and fans alike ....

I have access to all the papers' back pages every day I work. Of course most of them publish results during the season, the Star has Peter Oake little piece each week but there is rarely anything else as everyone has said. Football rules the roost of course. Our local newspapers all give good coverage nevertheless as do our local BBC radio stations. Until the day that the sport grows in this country again they're the ones our promoters should have good relations with. It's the lack of World Championship news that always surprises me as I'd have thought IMG would have contacts at the tabloids etc who might wangle a bit of space for them.

Team riding is great, trying to help your team mate through is great, a good pass is great, follow the leader is not so great .....

The club agreed the contracts, obviously their big backers didn't come up with the readies .... these clubs shouldn't be relying on sponsors to pay their riders, it should come out of gate money and a bonus if sponsors are generous?
