  1. The same reason the Swedes race in Sweden, the Poles race in Poland and the Danes race in Denmark ... Of course him not racing here affects sport in this country, he would be a draw card and popular guy ....
  2. Up to you but I won't, he doesn't want to race for us in our country so he can go whistle!
  3. It is, it's hard to believe but we are proud of being British, more than we realise and 100% Tai snubbing us is a step too far, even if he's peed off with the BSPA, whatabout the fans!!
  4. Is it the blokes not their performances?
  5. Wow, you want to drop Robert?! He certainly looked committed to me at Peterborough! Unbelievable 😯
  6. Still got my yellow\green anorak haha Bought my kids some trainer boots with speedway riders on 20+ yrs ago, they were amazing lol
  7. Robert certainly felt the need to have his say to the guy/guys, perhaps to put him/them right. It couldn't have been about his great racing on the night!
  8. If it had taken 120 minutes it would still have been enjoyable ..... I was sort of a neutral on the night, I tweeted how great it was to see our British boys going so well but then the Aussie got the better of two of them in heat 15 lol. Was a good night of racing, suits these flatout lay downs, have always loved racing at Boro, just wish we could have more local derbies!!
  9. The youngsters perhaps need to carve their own way to the top like all riders have to.
  10. I'll admit to being a tad concerned about the metalwork that the track throws up...
  11. Apart from the swear words in official press releases etc
  12. Hehe cos things change in speedway, just like that lol
  13. I'm sure Robert means from a professional point of view ...
  14. You mean "making" the riders put them first .... I compare Polish Speedway with 50/60/70s speedway here when people were desperate to get out and have some fun, they were proud of living where they did, they felt they belonged, I dunno if they felt a duty to support their team following the war and poor, restricted times, I will have to ask. Look at all the great stadiums that have been sold by those old promoters/owners. Mind you we are a tiny nation compared to Poland. They are 100% a proud nation, we can't even sing our anthem lol 2017 UK is a completely different place .....
  15. I think you've taken that the wrong way lol Or rather taken it the way you've wanted lol
  16. So what was said, Gav spoke to Robert first, he asked some searching questions about the night and the team's performance. Robert said the team felt confident of doing the business in the 2nd half of the mtg because of having 2/4 gates. He said Huckenbeck's PJR engine was too strong but he used his 2nd bike after the interval and Robert was confident he would do the biz on that and he did of course. Robert had shared his set ups during the night but the guys had all done what he was gonna do anyway so it shows they all think along the same lines 😊 Gav asked Rob just how he does what he does, he said he's been working on his gating but he just rides the track, knows where the dirt is and that's it. He was delighted to have won the British Under 21 at last. He then left to a round of very warm applause and a few handshakes. Onto Dale who again reiterated how important the gates were on the night, he was chuffed with Holder's form (how good was Holder were his words). He did say that they must address the gates and track to give the guys a better stage to perform on which was an interesting comment. He said he's concerned about Josh, knows he's struggling but because there is nobody stronger out there to replace him they will carry on encouraging and supporting him. He said he expects the guys at 1,5 and 6 in the team to be the consistent ones and to get the majority of the points because he knows the rest will have their good and off nights. One guy piped up that Dale would still get a blasting off the people on here and a Leicester fan then said come to Leicester we'll welcome you with open arms! When questions were asked from the floor only one guy asked when the averages were changing and Dale said early June, he also said that rules/regs aren't easy to keep up with as things keep changing.... Think that was just about it, Dale also got a warm round of applause. So nothing that perhaps you haven't read or heard since the meeting but just a real nice way of hearing about the meeting from the horses mouths basically and I think a good addition to the night.
  17. I guess it's confidence he lacks to attack from the gate, it will come, he's certainly finding out what is necessary in this league and hopefully the experience will stand him in good stead for the future.
  18. I'll never be happy with this rule of yours, in years to come when Polish speedway isn't so popular, when Poland has grown as a country and the young people find other things to do as they have here, I hope it comes back to bite you!
  19. That was asked of Dale last night and he said early June was the 4h4a for us. He is well aware that Josh is struggling but there is currently no better rider to take his place so it's a matter of supporting and encouraging him.
  20. I am surprised but actually I did give you a straight forward answer re your question about the press conference and I guess I could ask on your behalf if they would consider putting them on the website, or at least part of them... no harm and may help with fan/management relations....
  21. You don't know me very well Jonathan, SL does, she will know, as Semion does, that I was on a wind up lol lol I'm on my half hour break at work at the moment but will give a precis later of what was said....
