  1. Yes, every nation has their own federation, which sets the rules and regulations for their respective countries. Naturally, each federation sets it's own nation as their priority and will tailor things to suit themselves. The decision not to allow facilities in the UK for riders riding in the Czech Republic will not, and can not be determined by the Czech authorities......it will be a ruling set by one or more of the UK governing bodies, which are the BSPA, the SCB, the ACU, or ultimately the RAC.
  2. Surely it would be better to get the team in place before then so that they can bond and get used to riding together?
  3. Not sure what you mean here? The ACU (as you say) are our governing body, so how can the Czech's (for example) become members?
  4. Are you saying it is unfair for Czech riders to prioritise their own league and that their first allegiance should be to a foreign league, in this case the British?
  5. He hit the fence in Heat 11, but had a further ride before pulling out, so I assume he's not too bad :/
  6. So who, if any of the unattached riders in the Julie Rose Memorial looks worth a team spot to the Bears' fans?
  7. For the record, his three guest appearances have produced 25 points (incl bonus), which calculates to an average of 5.56.
  8. I believe they have signed Jan Graversen on a 28 day contract, so Josh Bates will be out for a minimum of the same period.
  9. Alun Rossiter's latest PR suggests not......he is urging supporters to 'stand by him'.
  10. So, any news/rumours on the possible addition to The Diamonds' team?
  11. This is the main reason for the decline of the sport in the UK (in my opinion). Seriously, would you have seen Kings Lynn as 'your team' back in the day if Terry Betts had ridden for Peterborough the following night and Malcolm Simmons was representing Ipswich the following day?
  12. Reports suggest he'll be back for the next meeting.
  13. Hopefully Leicester manage to get someone of the same calibre as Vaculik who hasn't ridden in the UK before, and automatically becomes an asset. What a coup Artem Laguta or Patryk Dudek would be.
  14. If you re-declare and are over the limit when Steve returns, he couldn't return to the team unless other changes were made which brought the team below the limit. However, if a 'temporary replacement' is signed, Steve would be free to return when fit, replacing the 'temporary replacement'.
  15. Have you emailed the SCB? They should have these records on file.
  16. He would have been 69 in May.
  17. Has the rule that you can't have a guest for a rider who hasn't represented the team during the season been changed?
  18. There have been a few murmurings and rumours in recent years about Kent moving up into the senior leagues..........does anyone know if that is still an ambition of the club?
  19. Wouldn't that also be the case if a decent Swede, Brit, Aussie, Ruskie or Yank wanted a ride? By your own admission, Newcastle appear to be up the creek without a paddle!!
  20. Has anyone got any news on who is the final rider for Scunthorpe this year?
