In your first paragraph you say that Matt's 'misdemeanors' have contributed to the sports' decline, and in your second, you suggest he should step forward and solve all speedway's problems. Not sure if you support him or not........confused.com

H&S crops up again.
-
Is this a prediction, or have I missed the announcement?
-
You make some good points there
-
To be fair, yes he did............only time will tell, but I have to say I'm not optimistic.
-
Whatever loser..........but just for the record, I'll do what I please thank you
-
It may make sense to you, but it's unfair on the Premiership teams as they have less fixtures owing to the mismatch in league sizes.
-
Well, Avtar Sandhu has gone on record saying he would :/
-
Call it how you want Tsunami........I just find your general arrogance irritating and your hypocrisy second to none.

What improvements have the owners said they are hoping to make?
-
Sued on what grounds? If The Speedway Star article is factually correct, there can be no grounds for court action, surely?

Waggy moved it on to Oxford. The results at Kings Lynn and latterly Oxford are embedded in each teams' history.......as RW says. it was just a marketing tool.

A pinch of salt could be just as useful

While we're on the subject of keeping up.........it's rider number 4 we are discussing
-
Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't know?
-
Yes, in the days of Waggy's 'Silver Machine'.
-
Yes.
-
Ultimately the owner.......the rider signs a contract with the club, therefore the owner of the club is the signatory on the contract by default.
-
He doesn't.......ever!!!
-
Can you imagine people taking Sam Ermolenko's pronunciation of riders' names as gospel
-
It's also a struggle to get people to take the sport seriously with riders riding for two teams........I know which struggle I'd prefer to struggle with!
-
Of course there would...........are you trying to tell me there are less than 119 speedway riders in the world? We have 17 teams in the top two leagues with 7 riders per team, equating to 119 riders. The quality from top to bottom may not be quite so high, but that would far outweigh the credibility gained for the sport.
-
Completely disagree.............the BSPA should make it IMpossible for ANYONE to ride in both leagues!!! That is one more reason that many fans are walking away.

Uncertainty Over Teams And Sky Tv
KevH replied to Nobblytriers's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
In my opinion a 'highlights' programme on BT Sports would be a major step backwards and certainly not a boost as you suggest. Currently domestic speedway can be watched most weeks (during the season) on the (by far) most popular viewing platform (Sky). A switch to the minority (BT) platform and a move away from live meetings would actually be media suicide. Having said that, it's not like British Speedway will have the option of choosing.........they will just have to take what they can get...........but I would suggest that the financial benefits of whatever that may be should be shared exclusively within the speedway community and not shared with a third party as it currently is. -
If you read the Press Releases, it's quite clear...........stop trying to make something out of nothing.
