If they let Hook go then I’m thinking the Cook rumour could well be true and going for a stronger top 5,imo going for a stronger top 5 isn’t a bad thing,if Cook is signed then
Jeppesen,Zischke,Batchelor,??,,Cook as a Top 4 that’s pretty good if Zischke gets going along with Cook could well be a title challenging top4.
Just don’t understand with Scunthorpe going with Pickering that they didn’t negate that and go with 2 2.00 reserves so atleast you can still build a decent top 5 and when Pickering gets an average if 9.00ish then maybe you can change things with one of the reserves.
imo Scunthorpe look like getting the wooden spoon already awful looking line up Palm Toft is a 2nd string these days in this league nowhere near a no5 plus all the other riders no one is a heatleader, there all 2nd strings and reserves.
Don’t think he will, think promoters are better signing young riders on 2.00 and giving them a chance,Starke won’t get better than a 4.00 average unless he’s out at no7 all year and I can’t see any team doing that.
My post just disappeared but that’s literally what I just put lol, looks like Workington are going to risk it with Cook and have a feeling they will announce him at Xmas I would of thought.
Scunthorpe for me if there guna have palm toft at 5 then that’s a huge weakness away no one to win them heats apart from Pickering,Workington don’t look that much better at the moment.
Agreed think pooles 1-5 will be weaker than Oxford’s rumoured top 5 and Glasgow well we will wait and see as they have 2 unknown riders in at 2&4.
And as you say Poole look strong in the reserve berth with the potential signing of Cooper Rushen,on paper one of the stronger pairings but not many reserve pairings have been announced yet, actually thinking about it I would have to say Redcars reserve pairing has to be the strongest looking at it again.
Agree there I feel Tobi done great for Poole but I feel Gilkes is a better rider and at no2 will be rock solid and could even change to no4 and Bowes go to number 2 I do feel Gilkes is a very shrewd signing just needs to stay out of trouble.
if Zach and Cooper finish the team off I really like the riders in the number 2,4,6&7 positions much more excitement than the start of last year that’s for sure. And also a lot of potential in those 4 riders.
Very happy Pirate fan
Very happy with that signing a very gd number 2 on a low average, hoping he can stay injury free next season and like you say should be getting upto mid 5pt I would say.
