  1. Just to say the Kent CTA Fire Kings had a great practice at Rye House today. The riders announced so far all rode well and there was a fantastic team spirit. Looking good for new season.
  2. Great to see the comments above about Adam and particularly the one from Ash as its not often people take the time to send such a second post. Adam has worked very hard over the winter, and continues to do so. Confidence is a major thing for young riders and being given a NL place has increased his confidence no end. As with all young riders Adam is always looking for sponsorship and if anyone can help please feel free to contact me via private message here or email me nikko@kentkings.co.uk
  3. There will be more pictures of how the track and stadium is progressing after the weekend.
  4. The Kent CTA Fire Kings will be holding their first ‘Fans Forum’ at Central Park Stadium on Monday 29th April which will take place in the Central Bar from 8.00pm. The promotion and the full 1-7 Kent CTA Fire Kings look forward to meeting supporters and answering questions at the UK’s newest track for the first time during the evening. Please note admission to the stadium will be from 8pm. Track work continues at a fast rate, latest images with thanks to track photographer Tony Fowles from ESA are available to view on the clubs official website www.kentkings.co with some images of recent signings Adam Kirby and Jack Kingston gaining some track time over the Easter weekend. Cheers Nikko
  5. The Kent CTA Fire Kings are pleased to announce that our next rider is 17 year old Jack Kingston. Full details on our website.
  6. The Promotion have confirmed we can name the next rider over this Bank Holiday Weekend so keep an eye on our official website for news.
  7. There have been no rule changes.
  8. Some interesting comments. Time will tell but one things for sure, the Kings are a hot topic everywhere and that can only be a good thing.
  9. That's up to Roger and Len but I'm sure they will announce them when they feel the time is right. Appreciate everyone wants to know the full team, and can't wait for the 6th May.
  10. Many thanks for the post, it certaintly has been a very hectic time, and continues to be. With the track coming along, look out for the the latest photos on the website over the coming days as you will see a major difference, we are now finalising meetings with the track staff and a fans forum/get together. The track staff meeting, for anyone who may like to be involved, is Monday 8th April at 6pm at the Stadium. We are finalising formats for a team get together/press/sponsors/fans meeting and as soon as this is confirmed I will let everyone know. Regards Nikko
  11. We are pleased to announce a major team sponsorship with CTA Fire. Full details are on our updated website. www.kentkings.co We will be now be known as the Kent CTA Fire Kings.
  12. It's the nickname of our official track photographer Tony Fowles and refers to an incident on the mini track at Iwade last year.
  13. The car park holds up to 1000 cars and the parking is free. The main covered stand holds 2000 people and the capacity is just under 5000. We are also looking to work with a local bus company to see if they will run return buses from the train station for those visiting for the Bank Holiday fixtures and on Monday nights for those coming straight from work.
  14. Looks like a very difficult night for the riders, so well done to all. No criticism of anyone but should this meeting be held so early in the season?
  15. The latest pictures of the track are on the gallery section of our website, thanks to Tony Fowles of ESA.
  16. Its not an app, its our website www.kentkings.co but you have the option to view the "Mobile Version" which fits an andriod/iphone screen. Its doesnt have all the pics etc but all the news, how to find us etc is there and we are finding that alot of younger people prefer this. They then bookmark it on the phones. It will also have Home Meeting updates during the season. It was designed by our web company specifically for this market and it receives almost as many "hits" every month as our main site, and Im pleased to say that is a lot. Hope that helps. Regards Nikko
  17. At the Kent Kings we: 1) Have an iphone/Andriod version of the website which is very popular. 2) We are on Facebook & Twitter 3) We have downloadable posters from our website. 4) We have a partnership with the Kent Youth Football League 5) We are going round the local schools with teenage riders they can relate to. 6) We are already advertising that our riders will be available at every meeting for photos and autographs. 7) At our first meeting a mystery new "fan" will be at track....and I think the kids are going to love him.
  18. Kent Kings are pleased to announce a partnership/sponsorship with the Kent Youth Football League. Check website for details. Apologies, I missed this post.... I have passed this onto the promotion. Regards
  19. There is a downloadable A4 poster on our website. Please feel free to download and print to spread the word about the Kent Kings
  20. The Kent Kings are pleased to announce that they are in discussions with Chalkwell Coach Hire & Tours of Sittingbourne to look into the possibility of running a coach service from Sittingbourne Train Station to and from Central Park Stadium on racedays. To see if this is a viable service the Kings are asking for both home and away fans to let them know if this is a service they would use. The Kings are also contacting all clubs in the National League to ask if their fans would be interested in riding in the "Kings Coach" and also gauge the interest in how many Kings fans would use the Coaches. Full details on our website. We are indeed a seperate club with Roger Cearns as the Promoter. Len is co-promoter and with all his years of knowledge and experience is ideal to cast his eye over potential riders. As above, we are a club in our own right, and are proud to represent Kent. BSPA require any promotion to have an experienced person on board and therefore Len is overseeing the speedway.
  21. Hi Ash Thanks for your post as it gives me the opportunity to clarify one thing right up front. At no point was I involved in the decision to sign Adam, yes I have sponsored him since he was 15 as has another good friend on mine but Len made the decision he wanted to look at Adam after seeing him in the AJL last season and after a couple of practices this year offered him a contract. I only found out AFTER the event and thats the way it should be. I have, quite correctly, no say in team matters. Hope that clears that one up. Regards Nikko
  22.
