  1. Over the last couple of seasons there have been hundreds if not thousands of posts about the problem with the "third tier" of british speedway and the only consistant message is that there is a problem with this tier. In my opinion they can be summarised as: 1) The BSPA dont really seem to care about this tier. The organisation of it from Rugby is poor at best. The name is only one example of many. 2) There are standalone teams and "2nd teams" who want, and need different things. 3) Until we run regular 80cc and 125cc practices for the kids you wont get the number coming through you need. 4) There are pockets of people who work amazingly hard behind the scenes to try and help but it needs co-ordinating. Last year during a very heated depate about this topic on this forum, Im sure Malcolm will remember it, I offered to faciliate a meeting in Rugby with the third tier chairman and the BSPA to try and help (its my job and was prepared to put the time in free of charge to try and help). I also emailed the BSPA directly with the same offer. The response was deathly silence, I therefore put the same offer on the table today.
  2. Sincere condolences from Nikko, Emma and all at Nikko Racing. I will miss the 4.30am emails from Jean and the long detailed email exchanges regarding every aspect of Mildenhall Speedway. Our thoughts are with Ray and his family at this time. Neil "Nikko" & Emma Day
  3. Mildenhall have confirmed on the their official forum that ALL meetings including the British Under 21 round and the NL Fours start at 5pm this season with the parade at 4.45pm Cheers Nikko
  4. I checked with the management yesterday mate because I was also confused and they confirmed its now 5pm for all meetings this season including the Under 21 round. Thats what the staff have been told, and the webmaster was asked to change the official site, which we did, but sure Dub will confirm.

  7. Welcome to the Fen Tigers Deano (just dont wear the dress we saw you wearing at Sittingbourne that time)
  8. I can confirm, and am very pleased to announce, that Adam Kirby has joined the Nikko Racing stable from the 1st February (Joining existing riders Aaron and Mark Baseby) and we are looking at Adam racing in every round of the Under 15s this year. Nikko
  9. I'll be down at Sittingbourne over the winter practising with Mark and Aaron (Team Baseby Racing), so hopefully see you there I think Adam should be very pleased with his progress this year, well done and keep it up.
  10. Nice to see Mark back to nearly full fitness and finishing with a good second place last night. Nice one mate
  11. Glad to see events like this are being organised, well done to Main Man and Buxton. Hope Adam can ride, he has improved all season with his laps at Mildenhall and looks a good prospect. Also a very pleasant lad to talk to with a good attitude.
  12. Very pleased and proud to say that the meeting was won by Aaron Baseby. Top 4 was: 1.Aaron Baseby 2. John Resch 3. Scott Campos 4. Nick Laurence Well done ASBO.
  13. I understand that young Robert Lambert may well be the Fen Tigers Mascot next season. He certainly looked impressive at the Big Bang
  14. Here is a clue: Scary Seriously though, well done to Steve for getting back onto the bike to support Gary Stead.
  15. Couldnt agree more. Steve is always happy to let riders use his photos if they ask for permission and he has been a great help to us by letting us use his photos on Team Baseby Racing.com Cheers Womble Keep up the good work
  16. Get well soon Jon, hope to see you down at West Row for the meeting anyway.
  17. Cant find that post anywhere? The riders are booked to be there, would like to know why anyone thinks otherwise ?
  18. A very honest reply from Simon there, not that i would expect anything less from him. How many other Promoters would come on here and do that? Lets hope its the end of stupid comments on this thread, an error was made, an apology given. Lets now look forward to a fantastic meeting, with good racing and an explosive firework display to finish.
  19. Well said Perry, 3 of the riders have represented Boston and who would want to miss seeing Lewis Bridger around their track. Also assume that as its now a Boston team we will see the colourful Mr Vasey as well that night We have a GP rider (Iversen), Elite League Riders (Peterboro, Lanham, Bridger) our own boys, a recent West Row legend (Armstrong) and some young riders looking to make an impression for a possible place on next years team. Thats a good line up, and with the fireworks as well the Big Bang 2 will be a fantastic end of season meeting. I would suggest that all local fans come on over to West Row for another afternoon/night of great racing.
  20. Trust me the Fen Tigers will have a representative
  21. Olsen makes sure the Danes have the big advantage again. OK he was a riding legend but somethings the things that go on with these GP, SWC meetings etc is a joke. What chance have the lads got that have never ridden Vojens ?? Its pathetic
  22. Team Baseby Racing - Aaron & Mark Baseby www.teambasebyracing.com
