  1. I would love to comment on the Sayfutdinov crash but I can't as my video ran out right at that point. It was bad enough that the whole meeting was scrubbed from the sky schedule, but they also put the repeat on 1 hour later than advertised. Thanks a bunch sky! I hope you got got good viewing figures for the www whatever interviews that were on ss2.
  2. I too was very disappointed & was only watching on tv, but I had rearranged my whole day to be able to watch it between 5 & 8pm (stupid time). All I'll say about the riders is that I bet they would not have stopped racing IF IT HAD BEEN A GP. Why not ditch the GP riders for the next time the competition is run? Let every club be represented by it's non-GP stars. We'd see the likes of Charlie Gjedde, Simon Stead, Mark Loram, Hans Andersen & Seba Ullamek. I think they'd try much harder to win it & be more entertaining than a load of guys who only really care about the GPs.
  3. re Crump - Did he catch that from Lee Richardson? cos if he did he should still ride. I was going to say Poland & Australia, but I'll go along with the rest of you & say Poland & Denmark now Crump is out.
  4. Well this 'Wife' managed to buy the tickets, organise overnight stay at inlaws, suss out train times, attend in person & set the video to watch when we got back. So we're not all useless. (However I have been known to video the wrong digital chanel on the video & get hours of complete blackness...)
  5. The first 4 races were really dull, but then it picked up & got exciting. Obviously being a fan of Leigh I really enjoyed it. He really wasn't making gates, but his racing was great, specially the semi final. I liked the gate picking for the semis & final, pleased not to see then sticking their toes in the dirt for ages, just going with a gate colour & getting on with it. Fairer and not dull. Well Done Leigh!
  6. I hate Abba. But it was unlikely to be anyone who would be worth seeing without the Speedway. Otherwise they'd be selling tickets for the band & not the racing. I don't know why they have a band anyway? Is it just so they can charge such a huge ticket price? Speedway's speedway that's what I'm going for. I'm going to Reading to see bands.
  7. Thanks for that. I am a big Leigh fan, so I am interested in what he does in Poland & Sweden. I look on the Lezsno site, but can't read Polish very well! Your extra comments about the racing were good.
  8. Yeah I was just about to say that too. Who will get the GP wild card Loram or Norris? not an easy decision. I couldn't pick between the 2.
  9. Who do you all reckon the 'other 5' Grand Prix riders will be next season? I think it'll be the ones who finished 9th-12th (Hans, Bjarne, Lee & Scott (Hopefully) ) with one more place up for grabs, but I don't know who'll get it.
