  1. i just wonder how legal the points limit rule is?what would happen if Sullivan, Buzz, or any other rider wanting to ride in this country took the rule to court of the land, saying it was barring them from working the UK. We could start a whole new debate!!
  2. so you dont think they will go the club who pays the most money?? Or should we make a rule where every club has to pay riders the same pay rates? great post, there are some good ideas you have come up with, but it needs promoters to want a common goal, and im not sure they all do. i just feel Patchett has done his self no favours this week, making bids for Riders, who by his own admission he clearly does nt want to purchase!
  3. Well firstly you are assuming what i was saying 2 years ago, and secondly how did "my promoter" put the sport in jeopardy? You obviously misunderstood what the disagreement was about 2 years ago.The term "level playing field" was aimed at the same rules being applicable to all teams, and not changed to benefit a chosen few. Finally, if your opinion is that abolishing the asset system will make for a level playing field, you are sadly mistaken, unless we just toss a coin to determine which rider goes to what team!!
  4. Totally agree. The one rule for one and one rule for another is rearing its head again. Speedway is in a desperate position and can ill afford to lose men like Rick Frost, but who could blame him from walking away from this hypocritical load of parasites. Now we have Patchett trying to re-write the rule book , and playing silly self centred little games. Take the matter to whatever court you see fit Mr Patchett, and you may well win, but at what price to the sport. I presume you dont care about that though, as long as your beloved Robins win the league at someone elses expense.
  5. lol......and thats how rumours start!! i suggest you read it again!!!
  6. And S'don were happy to take Hans last year, and Gomolski this year, and no one forced you to buy either of them did they. All this schoolground bickering is down to certain promoters who try and bend the rules for their own good, and certainly not for the good of the sport, and they should be ashamed of themselves.
  7. Oh yes please.......i will have a bit of that
  8. Bucko, Sullivan......both free to talk to other clubs!!!! Why on earth should they let ALL their assets talk to other clubs before they have finalised their team? The mentality of some posters on here is unbelievable.......or is it just envy?
  9. Did nt know Niels went to poole!!! But was it in December he signed for Poole??
  10. Totally agree. Its December, season starts in March. Why should desperate promotions dictate when a club should release "their assets", and like it or not, until proven otherwise, thats what riders are!.
  11. Personally, i dont want either of them back for reasons other than their on track ability. On track though i think Hans is on the downward spiral, and Troy rides for himself rather than the team!!
  12. in football they seem to have a pretty good system, and generally that is a well run professional sport. The only difference is speedway is no longer run professionally, and some so called promoters are happy to live off the fat of the others.
  13. They are unwanted when the time is right for the club. Riders are aware of the contractual issues when they sign for a club. if they dont like it, dont sign!! As for Iversen, he has spent two seasons at Lynn courtesy of the Panthers. If he wants to go there, Lynn should either buy him or he should buy his own contract out. What right do they think they have to dictate and effectively stick 2 fingers up to the authorities. your comments about Frost are obviously your opinions , but sadly imbalanced and i suspect without knowledge!!
  14. Because there is a system which means you can only build your team to a certain points limit.......and that dictates that you cant always use all the riders that you have paid good money for. not difficult to understand is it?
  15. yes....my ears and eyes......but this is not the place to get in a full blown discussion about the matter!!
  16. Well sorry if you feel my opinion lacks intelligence....but at least i am respectful of peoples opinions!!
  17. that may or may not be the case....but totally irrelevant!!!
  18. There are 2 reasons why I shall not be attending 1. The BSPA take fans for granted...well not this one they dont! I shall not be attending any BSPA shared events this year 2. Kings Lynn speedway, to my understanding wanted Peterborough out of business to increase there fan base.....hence i shall not show my face their again under their present promotion
  19. it just shows what a childish bunch they are at the BSPA. Its a disgrace how they have treated the fans, and whoever is guilty for this needless delay should take a long look in the mirror..and then do the honourable thing!! It is clear by their actions over the last 2 weeks certain members never wanted Coventry and Peterborough in the league, and therefore dont have the best interests of the sport...not to mention the paying public at heart.
  20. Fantastic Ryan! How come he never gets the credit he deserves? He wasn't tipped by anyone to win even when he got to the final! He made the gate from dreaded gate 3,and then had to do it again when race was stopped. All this with a dodgy collarbone!A truly great performance from a rider who is always mentioned behind crump and adams by the so called experts, and consistently out performs them on the track!watch out tricky,Ryans Flyin again
