I have a few pics of him, met him a few years back for an interview, nice chap. I didnt know he was 37 when he started though! That would have made him 88 when I spoke to him and I think you may have that bit incorrect, but not sure.

How about finding out what happenned to Tony Hall, Cec Platt, (Eastbourne & Rayleigh), Robbie Blackadder, Phil Michalides (newcastle) Phil Pratt, Terry Shearer? etc etc, all as important as the superstars. Mike Sampson (he was super star when I was a kid!!!)

You will laugh at this, cos I always think of Carl Glover when I am in London and see the guards standing by their hut with them Busby hats, Carl didn't need a hat, his hair was just hike one! But what a racer he was, along with Arthur Price and Jim Ryman those Barracudars took some stopping, have some great cine footage of them against Eastbourne in 1972.

Funniest thing must have been Jan Puk and Joseph Kaffel, Kaffle signed for Eastbourne and Puk came with him. they didnt speak english and where both chucked in at Kings Lynn, trouble was because neither spoke the lingo EB were not sure who was who, and it turned out that Puk was only meant to be Kafels mechanic! and EB were well and truly stuffed!

Do you remember that chap at Wimbledon who always called Ivan Mauger Ivan Morger! now he was boring, Ted Sear was very good and Dave Lanning at Wimbledon in the late 80's was excellent.

Yes I have done it myself at several tracks too, it's not easy particularly if there are lots of Czechs and Poles. blimey Main Man if you are a spring Chicken, I haven't hatched yet!!! I understand Kevin will be doing Cardiff this year - a excellent choice if you ask me.

Very sad news indeed, I have many articles, photo's and news bit on Buddy from his Hastings days and from what I have read, he was a very Friendly showman, he will be missed by all.

I loved the place, finish work get the 4pm train to victoria. trapes across london changing tubes and then wizz up the road, loved the place and the noise as it echoed around, tube back, 10.47 train back to Sussex, walk home and knackered, but still did it nearly every week!
